Velikovsky online film

Hi Treesparrow-I actually had a copy of Velikovsky's book "World's in Collision" (I think that was the title) when I was about 11-12 years old. I read the book-even at the early age I was interested in such things-but unfortunately I didn't grasp what he was saying completely and thought he might even be a bit wacko-I wish I stlill had that book so I could read it again with the understanding I now have. I also had a copy of George Adamski's " Flying Saucers Have Landed"-both of these are out of print, I imagine-they either got thrown out or put in a garage sale. What a shame when we hold priceless things in our hands we do not realize their value.

Hi Tschai,

You can pick a copy of Worlds in Collision at -

http://cassiopaea.org/library/cass_lib.htm

(Or if you live in the UK you could visit the town of Hay-on- Wye on the Welsh border -the place is saturated with bookshops selling second hand books. Many of Velikovskys' books are sold dirt cheap here.)

Earth in Upheaval is also another title by Velikovsky that may be worth your time. In short summary, in this Velikovsky looks at the recent geological and geographical evidence of bombardment of earth by rocks from space. He did this because his critics said the many histories, myths and legends he cited about these events in WIC were open to different interpretations.

In brief, in Earth in Upheaval, some of the physical evidence presented e.g half a million impact craters(The Carolina Bays) are very hard to argue against or deny.

On this page _http://www.thunderbolts.info/online_videos.htm there is a 10 minute video with the title: 'Velikovsky, Hero or Villain? Plasma Cosmology Astronomy' which gives a short introduction to Velikovsky, his work and the impact it has had. Quite well done.

The videos from that site are of a very bad quality but the full movie (with much better picture) can now be found here:

Thank you very much for mentioning this documentary here. I have read few of V.'s books but did not know about this document. A nice introduction for those who don't know his work and want to get some idea what he was on to.

Additionally, there is an audio of a lecture given in 1966 by Velikovsky here :-

In a post on the facebook, Electric Universe page, a commenter mentioned a link at the varchive.org site for the letters that Velikovsky exchanged with Einstein. It is an interesting conversation.

At the Lake By advancing to the next page of Velikovsky's, using the arrows, the back and forth communications with Einstein continue.

The thread header at the EU group page regarded a search for more information about the global catastrophic floods throughout history. I pointed him to Pierre's new book, Cometary Encounters, as well as The Cycle of Cosmic Catastrophes, Firestone, West and Warwick-Smith, and Cataclysm!, Allan and Delair.

The Velikovsky Archive is a wonderful, sprawling resource for anyone researching his work.
