Venezuela Situation: US Declares War on 'Narco-Terrorism'

Wrong and totally off base. I'm not a rep for the DS in the US you want to argue with. Back off.
First of all, you know full well that this is not the tone that is used on this forum. And this is not the first time that you act arrogantly in networking discussions about the US.

You may disagree with this, but I think everyone in the US needs to understand the precarious position they are in, as the accumulated karma will inevitably destroy their country in one way or another, according to the C's. You still seem to be identifying to some extent with the cabal-run US-empire as "us", which is the same as using your free will to tie yourself to them.

If you do not want that, maybe take a deeper look at what you have been writing lately and why (including the angry outburst above).

Things like: "We" need to send a message to China for their "wrong doings" (let's forget that we do a lot more of those and then some) by cutting off their oil supply from Venezuela.

Speaking of tone, you might want to watch yours as well, which verges on haughty and arrogant.

I find your last 2 posts to be out of bounds and incorrect in how I've represented my point of view here. Perhaps your not able to read what I've said accurately for some reason. I disagree with everything your saying here and I don't feel I need to explain myself further with you which has become disagreeable. I wasn't angry in that post I was just being blunt.

Agreed. Verges?

Okay, thanks for the feedback.

The whole point of networking is that we have our blind spots and need feedback to arrive at a more clear and objective perception.

Agreed. Verges?
You may have missed the "as well" part, which applies to you too.

@SummerLite and @axj I think you both need to back-off from this and similar topics for a while. If you can't post in a non-antagonistic and considerate way, do not post at all.
I agree, I've already backed off of political topics as they are a sensitive subject for many including me. I don't want to create friction here as there is enough of that in the world already.

+ Politico interviews Donald Trump about Venezuela and the military deployment in the Caribbean Sea comments:
Burns: Your impact extends far beyond Europe. I want to talk about another area where you are making your mark, which is Venezuela. You have said that Nicolás Maduro's days are numbered and that the United States could soon attack Venezuelan territory. Could we see US troops on the ground in Venezuela?

Trump: I'm not commenting on that.
I wouldn't say one way or the other. I can say this: he sent us millions of people, many from prisons, many drug dealers, drug traffickers, people from psychiatric centers. He sent them to our country, where we had a very stupid president. You know that. (Joe) Biden is a person with a low IQ, especially today. I mean, 30 years ago he already had a low IQ, but now he has a particularly low IQ. And what he did to our country is not good. El Tren de Aragua (TdA), one of the most cruel gangs in the world.

+ Two US F-18 fighter jets flying in tandem entered Venezuelan airspace around noon on Tuesday, flying over the Gulf of Venezuela for 40 minutes in the latest show of force against Nicolás Maduro's regime.
In addition, early Tuesday morning, a U.S. Navy MQ-4C Triton drone, identified as 169804 BLKCAT6, entered the Maiquetía flight information region (FIR), conducting reconnaissance maneuvers off the Venezuelan coast in the Caribbean Sea.

+ Maduro's regime admitted the death of political prisoner Alfredo Díaz in prison

The situation of political prisoners is currently tense. On Saturday, news broke of the death of dissident Alfredo Diaz, former governor of Nueva Esparta state, while he was being held at the intelligence center—or torture center—known as El Helicoide, one of the Chavista regime's detention centers.
Díaz was accused of terrorism and inciting hatred after questioning the July 2024 presidential elections in Venezuela. His family maintains that he had health problems prior to his arrest and that the authorities ignored his need for treatment. Bringing the total number of political prisoners who have died in state custody since the presidential elections of July 28, 2024, to seven.
All of this is happening in the context of the Nobel Prize being awarded to Corina Machado, whom the Venezuelan state has told that if she leaves the country, she will do so at her own risk and will be considered a fugitive if she abandons the country.

+Opposition leader María Corina Machado and González Urrutia stated that Díaz's integrity and life were “the sole responsibility of those who arbitrarily held him captive” at El Helicoide, the detention center of the Bolivarian National Intelligence Service (Sebin) in Caracas, and rejected the notion that his death was “ordinary.”
"María Corina Machado herself has stated in interviews how difficult the trip to Oslo, Norway will be. Therefore, we cannot provide any further information on when and how she will arrive at the Nobel Peace Prize ceremony."
