What are you listening to?

A few day ago, I listened to Glen Gould, a Canadian, and his many interpretations of of Bach's Goldberg variations, many have said music is a resonance that can be the interpretation in a mathematical construct...infinity! It begs the question, is the resonance within the human body used as messenger, for some more nefarious agenda in mind? I think he presents over 20 variations, a feast for the soul.

I find his music for those interested. A sublime fest for the mind, a rest from the onslaught of death and nihilistic propagandists. It is all piano, and his variations sublime, it is about 1 hour long,

From 1981 recording.

"Jim's Blues" by P J Proby. Features all of the members of Led Zeppelin too, in their first recorded effort together.

And a breezy tune from Donovan too, reminds me of summer.

Music for Resilience 2 "La Lumière" 3 hour version - Oud by Naochika Sogabe

Comment from the musician: "I'm from Japan and studied historical music and music ethnology in Cologne/Germany and The Hague/Netherlands. Now I live at the border between Germany and France. - Oud & Lute - King of Instruments -The origin of the oud belongs to the ancient times and similar instruments were used by the Babylonian and ancient Egyptian. Until today, oud is played as the "king of instruments" in Arabic culture. The oud found his way to Europe in medieval times and it became "lute". During the Renaissance the lute was also regarded as the "king of instruments"

Breathless drive on a downtown street,
Motorbike ride in the mid-day heat.
Dust that hung from the desert skies
Run though we'd run, it still burned our eyes.

Oh yes, we may walk on the wild, wild side of life.
And our movements traced by a stranger close by your side.
In the shadows of a promise you can take my hand,
And show me a way to understand.

So if you think you know how to love me,
And you think you know what I need,
And if you really, really want me to stay,
You've got to lead the way.
Yes if you think you know how to love me,
And you think you can stand by me,
And if you really, really want me to stay,
You've got to lead the way.

Reckless night in a nameless town,
Then we moved out of sight with a silent sound.
A beach that wept, the deserted waves
That's where we slept, knowing we'd be safe.

Now you may think you can walk on the wild, wild side with me.
But there's a lot I can learn and a lot I'd get to see.
I know you've got my life lying in your hands,
It's up to you to make me understand.

So if you think you know how to love me,
And you think you know what I need,
And if you really, really want me to stay,
You've got to lead the way.
Yes if you think you know how to love me,
And you think you can stand by me,
And if you really, really want me to stay,
You've got to lead the way.

Pat Benatar did a cover of this song in the late 70's. But now when I listen to either version of this song, it brings tears to my eyes.

This stanza is what really got me:

So if you think you know how to love me,
And you think you know what I need,
And if you really, really want me to stay,
You've got to lead the way.

...Because I'm wondering if this will be our role going forward with the "normies"? Probably overthinking this, as usual. Anyway, great song.
