Who is asking?

Hello.

Once upon a time, I got a chance to ask a question to a non-local being(or beings).
But, instead of answering my question, I was asked this question: "Who is asking?"
I realized that it was some kind of challenge. If I could find the answer to that simple question, I may not even be interested to find the answer to my original question...

So, when asking Qs questions, have you even been challenged with something like this?
What would have been your answer?

SlavaOn, have you read any of Laura's work? If so, in the Wave series, you would recall the process by which Laura eventually connected with the Cs, and what she had to go through before getting a decent 'signal'. There's an interesting SoTT podcast here which might help answer your question.

Also, how was it that you were communicating with this local non-being, as you call it? Were you using an Ouija board? There are a few threads here on using Ouija boards, and dealing with releasing earth-bound spirits. Also, somewhere in those threads I read that you never ever answer their questions ot tell them your name, as it gives them power over you, and you just don't know who or what you are really dealing with.

Hello.

I did not "know" who I was asking, their presence was felt. My question was non-verbal. I don't even remember what I was asking. It happened over a decade ago.

And, as I have realized, it was not my name that was asked, not any common human descriptor (man/woman, nationality, etcetera)...

I recalled that in ancient Greece, there was a sign above an entrance to an oracle's cave that said "Know thyself". What if it was posed as a test question "Know thyself?" before the oracle will answer your questions?

One needs to be able to answer that question and I still can not... What would you say?

In such a case, I would suspect that the intended message would be similar to: "if you knew yourself, then you'd know, yourself (i.e., you, yourself, would know), so, since you have a question, go back and continue your efforts at gaining self-knowledge because the answer will be there, somewhere, not here, as if "here" were somehow separate from "there".

Indeed. :) Because the mere fact you are asking a question of he or she or that which you know not what, indicates you are far from a "unified I", which is our goal, and you'd be aware of the fact. So, in such a case, I suspect the honest answer to "who is asking?" would be "No one", because by asking a question you are admitting to fragmented knowledge or fragmentation (or something incomplete), thus, "not one", "not unified", thus, "no one", see?

If any of this is confusing to you, then I'd recommend not chasing him or her or that which you know not what and asking any more questions. That might be advisable in any case.

My 2 cents.

Buddy, I agree. "No one" it is!

I have descibed that experience in this little poem:

I met a stranger lately, obscured was his face
Mysterious encounter took place in salvia space
I thought I was surrounded by many red-brick houses
With red-brick walkways that move without pauses
As smoothly, as a wave, that goes up and down
According to a force that drives the universe
The wave of love engulfed me, I felt it as a heat
My body melted quickly, accepting its defeat
Can you believe? The houses had smirks on their faces
I must have felt dumbfounded and asked the stupid questions
"We always here, always, will wait for your return"
I heard the answer clearly, as sung in unison
My whole existence questioned, my body not in sight
I am dead! OK, so be it. I lost without fight…
And every time I’m coming back to that, so magic, place
I bring a bunch of question about human race
I am ready for the answers but they will never come
Until I answer question to test who I become.
I put that simple question for you on line below
Please, tell me dear people: Who Is that wants to know?

SlavaOn

Huh funny, I have and do often answer a question with, "depends who is asking".
The answer will always be different depending on who is asking and what they are willing to hear.

Moses climbed the mountain, and the asked the being in the burning bush who he was, and the reply was (translated as): "I AM".
