Why Is There No Footage of Nikola Tesla Online?

According to Wikipedia, the earliest and first sound of human voice is the French folk song 'Au clair de la lune', which was recorded on April 9, 1860, thanks to the French inventor Leon Scott. The video was made 17 years before Edison invented a phonograph, but due to the commercialization of the device, Edison remains remembered as the creator of the first "caught" recorded voice. (1877)
Tolstoy's voice was shot in 1908 while the letter to Tatiana Kumiznisky read to the phonograph given by Thomas Edison. By giving him a copy of his invention, Edison sent Tolstoy a letter of the following content:
"You need to preserve your voice for the posterity. I attach instructions to use the appliance.
Let it be with happiness, and the joy of those who will come after you let us be most grateful. "
First shot with a camera was also created in the 19th century (1895), Tesla came to America in 1884 at Edison to work. He was 26 years old then.

Now, as far as possible, that Tesla, whom they call the "Internet's father" for such statements
“It will soon be possible, for instance, for a business man in New York to dictate instructions, and have them appear instantly in type in London or elsewhere. He will be able to call up, from his desk, and talk to any telephone subscriber in the world. It will only be necessary to carry an inexpensive instrument, not bigger than a watch, which will enable its bearer to hear anywhere, on sea or land, for distances of thousands of miles. One may listen or transmit speech or song to the uttermost parts of the world. In the same way any kind of picture, drawing, or print can be transferred from one to another. It will be possible to operate millions of such instruments from a single station. Thus it will be a simple matter to keep the uttermost parts of the world in instant touch with each other. The song of a great singer, the speech of a political leader, the sermon of a great divine, the lecture of a man of science may thus be delivered to an audience scattered all over the world.” (1909)

does not have any audio or video that is known to the public?

At YT, you can easily find recordings of Tesla's contemporaries, fellow scientists, and various. For example Albert Einstein, Sigmund Freud, Maria Curie, Max Planck, Niels Bohr, Ivan Pavlov, Mark Twain (close friend of Tesla), Gugliemo Macroni.

Tesla is dying in 1943, 16 years after the appearance of the first sound film, and to date, we have no known authentic video or audio recording of Nikola Tesla (it is possible to find a few on YT but all the scams)

There is a sporadic discussion on the intertnetWhy Is There No Footage of Nikola Tesla Online?,Who has Tesla's voice recorded?, Do we have any actual voice recordings of the inventor?, Does a voice recording of Nikola Tesla exist?,https://www.quora.com/Are-there-any...a-If-so-what-details-can-you-provide-about-it, on FB, but it is so negligible and unanswered.

Is there anyone else interested in the question:
Are there any audio or video recordings of Nikola Tesla? If "yes", why are they hiding from the public?

That's not a recording of Tesla. The audio quality is too good for that era. It's probably from a documentary.

Could be. You certainly can't believe everything on the internet. If someone did claim to have a recording of him how could anyone prove it was real?

Lots of that kind of material is accepted if corroborating evidence is found.
In this case, we have no corroborating evidence, no sources, who recorded it and when?

It seems like a clip from the documentary, which is arranged to sound a little old, but in spite of that, it is obvious that, according to the quality of the recorded voice, it is a newer date.
Music in the background? It seems like a narrative rather than a natural speech.
Just one sentence, and it's quite familiar?
"Electric Power is everywhere present in unlimited quantities and can drive the world's machinery without the need of coal, oil, gas, or any other of the common fuels!"
Besides the title itself, there is no evidence that this is really the voice of Nikola Tesla

Many things are hidden when it comes to Tesla.
If there was no this site and forum, I would never find out about the Philadelphia experiment , for example..
Then, if you picture his wish of free energy in this heavy capitalistic society, it is understandable why would they try to hide his stuff.
But still, it is strange that there hasn't been any leakings at least , like it happens from time to time.

The FBI actually have released some papers relating to Tesla recently, but I see no reason to think they would release anything that was really substantial.

"They" (the FBI as we know), confiscated pretty much everything about him, after his passing. Though wiki says different. And that claim could very well be a cover.

The Tesla Memorial Society of New York is now actively searching for what ever they kind find, restoring his past. Interesting site.

Missing Tesla related items
Nikola Tesla (1856-1943), the great inventor and scientist, is among the 100 most famous people of the last 1,000 years. Tesla is one of the great men who diverted the stream of human history.
There are many Tesla related items which are missing and cannot be found. Those items are of great historical, scientific, and emotional value.
The Tesla Memorial Society of New York are asking you, our website visitors and Tesla admirers to give us any information you know about those missing items By Dr. Ljubo Vujovic, Professor Jasmina Vujic and Dr. Mihailo Rundo

when you say " really substantial"... did you mean, among other things, the voice and video of Nikola Tesla?
or you consider this question trivial.

Is it possible that Tesla's voice is hidden because...
A: There are frequencies in your/our voice that are inaudible to the physical ear but affect the spirit.

Keeping in mind that when Marc Seifer was wrote biography of Tesla in 1996, he describes one of the films that could be hiding in someone's attic or company vault:
In 1935, with the help of newsreel photographers, Tesla designed and produced an electrified extravaganza which he offered to Paramount Pictures. "Paramount said the film came out unusually good, both in respect to pictorial and sound effects," he told George Scherff," but they feel that the subject was too technical."

What we certainly know is that Tesla is still a mystery and enigma.

Is it the right time to find out who is Tesla, what are his sources of knowledge and discovery?
To "shake" the topic of Tesla in terms of how this is done with Gurdjieff and Jung?
It might be interesting to ask how Trump's uncle, physicist John Trump, used Tesla's documents and equipment, which he was examined after Nikola was death?

Here is some information from other threads that members have posted on Tesla.
Plus a couple items that may be of interest.

I think that it's pretty obvious there's only so much info available for a reason. And like others have posted below, verification of this enigma is limited.

Hello all,
I found a copy of an interview of Mr Tesla from 1899, it seems that it appears on the web these last years.
Here's one link : _The Nikola Tesla Interview Hidden for 116 Years! | Humans Are Free
There's a small update text at the end of the page which says "Update: The interview is possibly fake, as the theory of relativity was not developed in 1899. At the same time, Tesla could have known the insights of Einstein's work long before the latter published his famous paper. As always, be your own judge."

From the article a second and short PDF

Not long ago, at the university, during one of the lectures we watched a movie about Nikola Tesla. Here it is with English subtitles.
Now, when I was looking for this documentary with English subtitles......

Because he didnt care for those kind of things?

It is very likely that he did not care about this kind of things...for media and fame. Although many years lived in the luxurious Astoria Hotel, they said he died in poverty. Because he did not mind trivial and instant recognition, but for the future..
Let the future tell the truth, and evaluate each one according to his work and accomplishments. The present is theirs; the future, for which I have really worked, is mine. - Tesla

whether he was important to the media? - surely it was
for example, this cover from magazine Time of 1931

Certainly the man who gave such statements as..

The day science begins to study non-physical phenomena, it will make more progress in one decade than in all the previous centuries of its existence.
My brain is only a receiver, in the Universe there is a core from which we obtain knowledge, strength and inspiration.
It’s not the love you make. It’s the love you give.
But instinct is something which transcends knowledge. We have, undoubtedly, certain finer fibers that enable us to perceive truths when logical deduction, or any other willful effort of the brain, is futile
If you want to find the secrets of the universe, think in terms of energy, frequency and vibration.
Of all things, I liked books best.

did not care much about glory, acknowledgment, success, greed, 3D stuff.
The fact that he did not get the Nobel is also intriguing
