Just talked to my parents in the Crimea. My father told me that his boss is desperate because his son, who live in Russia and is a Russian military officer, is supposedly going to be shortly sent to Donetsk (not as volounteer, but on some offical military mission). It's getting interesting... I'll try to get more details on that.

Might have something to do with this:
_http://fortruss.blogspot.com/2014/12/russian-peacekeepers-will-officially.html
"Information, that from December 28 Russian troops will officially start patrolling the territory of 'Lugandon' [deragatory Ukrinian name for Lugansk Peoples Repubic] - is confirmed. The Agreement was signed by the Ukrainian side (General Major Razmazin), this is confirmed by the OSCE. Now, killing a Russian in Debaltsevo, you will not kill an aggressor in the ATO zone, but a "peacekeeper". That's all friends, we lost the battle for the East. We did what we could, we fought to death, brough humanitarian aid and supplies to the front, we couldn't do any different, having advisers and commnders in the Rada was insufficient. Now the countdown will begin for decades, and we will live these decades - under threat, terrorist attacks, betrayal and bitterness...".

Thank you Thorbiorn for sharing, indeed very powerfull documentary,it's inhuman what is happening to all those innocent people i really hope with all my heart that the divine cosmic mind to be with them and help in all the way possible to overcome this hell in which they are living.

In the video there is an opera actor from East Ukraina who exposed his opinion of what is happening and who is to blame(of course he said the culprits are the usa and the kiev puppets),so what caught my attention was the phrase he said :
"The anglo-saxons have invaded us periodically ,for them the Russians are like a bone in their throat", indeed.

For Russian speakers, here's the filmmaker's vimeo account. Looks like only the last two of his documentaries are translated, but there are 4 previous ones available in Russian: _http://vimeo.com/maxfadeev/videos

Thank you Altair, for sharing that. I'm learning a little bit more about this situation as it goes on, and that helped to understand the context much more. Watching "Donbass, The Separatists" opened my eyes as to who these fighters are and why they're fighting. Now I can see that they are indeed fighting to prevent all out destruction. What a mess, and how horrible that these people in Donbass must be torn from their lives and families just to defend what they have.

Ukraine denies radioactive leak on Zaporizhzhya nuclear plant
By Pavel Polityuk
KIEV Tue Dec 30, 2014 2:46pm EST

(Reuters) - Ukrainian authorities denied on Tuesday a report in pro-Kremlin media that a radioactive leak had taken place at the Zaporizhzhya nuclear plant, Europe's largest.

Life News newswire published documents which it said came from Ukraine's emergencies ministry and showed that a leak at the power plant had led to a spike in radiation over the past two days exceeding permitted norms by 16 times.

Three officials from Ukraine's emergencies ministry, energy ministry and the plant itself told Reuters there had been no leak.

"The plant works normally, there have been no accidents," said an energy ministry official. The officials could not comment if documents published by Life News were authentic. Reuters was not able to verify the documents independently. [...]
Reuters often has this kind of reports. They contain a grain of truth, but plays it down or distorts it.

Now there is some kind of a truce, but it is reported that European soldiers are being sent to the area of the Donetsk Airport: _http://fortruss.blogspot.ca/2014/12/nato-began-soft-invasion-of-donbass.html?m=1
Alexey Zoteev - Cassad.net said:
One of my friends got a call from a friend living in a prosperous European country and hysterically reported that the husband of her relative, a soldier of one of the divisions of NATO, was sent to Ukraine, changed into Ukrainian uniform and delivered to the location of Donetsk airport. She also reported that according to this soldier, almost all who, under the pretext of rotation, comes to the airport - are Europeans and Americans. NATO troops are taking this strategic object under their control.

Also, during the conversation, the reason for the closure of the three largest airports of Ukraine - Zaporozhzhye, Kharkov and Dnepropetrovsk became clear. NATO transport aircraft landed on the runways of these airports, and unloaded military equipment, military units and ammunition. Confirmation of the delivery to Eastern Ukraine of "help" from NATO I also received from other sources - local residents in these cities confirmed that they had seen European and American equipment on the territory of the flight terminals. NATO began a soft invasion of Donbass. Dressed in Ukrainian uniform European and American military are taking up key positions on the front lines.
I have no other verification of this information, so you decide what to think.

In addition, the US has a plan to transfer used equipment from Afghanistan to Ukraine: _http://groundreport.com/russia-lawmaker-furious-over-decision-by-the-us-to-transfer-military-equipment-and-hardware-from-afghanistan-to-ukraine/ However the Afghanistan people are not in favour of this idea: _http://thetruenews.info/2014/12/29/afghanistan-us-plans-transfer-military-gear-ukraine-kabul-official/

To be ready for more war, the Kiev government is planning to pay Blackwater/Academi for military training: _http://pontiactribune.com/russia-says-ukrainian-nazis-pay-blackwater-training/ and _http://itar-tass.com/en/world/770048 but apparently many of those sent to the front by the Kiev government do not wish to fight: _http://fortruss.blogspot.fr/2015/01/ukrainian-deserter-to-novorossia-only.html
Ukrainian Deserter to Novorossia: "Only a Third of Ukrainian Army Wants to Fight, and They are From Western Ukraine"
Perhaps that is why the training is to take place near Lvov in Western Ukraine. And still, that leaves us with some 35% who love to kill like this guy: _http://www.globalresearch.ca/ukrainian-soldier-explains-why-he-enjoys-killing-russians/5422443

NATO Mission starts operating in Ukraine © Фото: AP Photo/Olivier Matthys
The mission will promote NATO in cooperation with the authorities and the media in Ukraine
The Lithuanian diplomatic mission in Kiev is the NATO Contact Point Embassy in Ukraine from January 1, 2015 to December 31, 2017, local media reported. The Lithuanian Foreign Ministry explained that the mission will focus especially on work in Ukraine’s regions.

I don't know if the following is a result of this NATO cooperation, but isn't it interesting that the Kiev side is mining the beaches bordering to the Azov sea according to _https://www.facebook.com/groups/IOUCO/permalink/688355177944206/ Also Kiev firebombed a coal mine on December 28th according to _https://www.facebook.com/groups/1456741614555531/permalink/1594223904140634/ who has it from a youtube. To the accusation of firebombing, the Kiev side said that it was the militia that had bombed themselves. Really? Today, I read there were four violations of the "truce". Kiev and NATO apparently adhere to the ethnic cleansing program through there actions.

Earlier in the thread, we have discussed the possibility of creating a new Israel in Ukraine, though at the moment the flow is not into Ukraine but away from it: _http://en.ukraina.ru/news/20150102/1011693940.html
The flow of Ukrainian Jews wishing to resettle in Israel has grown so much that the Israeli authorities had to adopt a special centralized immigration program After Odessa’s equivalent of the Katyn Massacre, Ukrainian Jews are seriously considering their prospects in the new Ukraine. Repatriation was more like an evacuation. This will require a special operation and special aircraft.
ews are leaving almost all the regions of Ukraine. If in the first months mostly residents of eastern Ukraine fled, now many families are moving from central Ukraine, including Kiev. All interested persons gathered in Kiev and two aircraft took them to Tel Aviv, a total of 437 people. An Israeli government delegation greeted the passengers at Ben-Gurion Airport.
Well, the above people have the contacts or the money to leave, some don't and life is not nice in Ukraine as the Los Angeles Times managed to report _http://www.latimes.com/opinion/op-ed/la-oe-golinkin-ukraine-humanitarian-crisis-20150102-story.html
Op-Ed Kiev's brutal strategy in eastern Ukraine
[...]
Unfortunately, recent statements by Col. Oleksiy Nozdrachov, Ukraine's chief of military and civilian cooperation in eastern Ukraine, show disturbing signs of Kiev's attitude toward this crisis. Where the U.N. sees a looming humanitarian disaster, Kiev may see an opportunity.

Kiev's strategy, as outlined by Nozdrachov in USA Today, is to continue withholding government services from the rebel-held areas in hopes that increased suffering will turn the local population against the separatists. “This shows the population in the occupied territory that the situation under the Ukrainian government is much, much better,” Nozdrachov said. In addition, an Amnesty International report posted Dec. 24 said pro-Kiev “volunteer battalions are increasingly blocking humanitarian aid into eastern Ukraine in a move which will exacerbate a pending humanitarian crisis.”

In the following article, the above story is presented more explicitly: _http://www.4thmedia.org/2014/12/kiev-neo-nazi-regimes-official-policy-for-east-ukraine-is-starvation-torture-rape-and-murder/ And one guy posting a link video of the Stepan Bandera march in Kiev asked, if the EU is ready to grant Ukraine Visa free entry _http://www.ustream.tv/recorded/57126756

But even in Kiev controlled Ukraine, some speak up as expressed in this link _http://www.globalresearch.ca/ukraines-war-a-prelude-to-world-war-ii-says-former-ukraine-ambassador-to-u-s/5421994 and in Lvov:

Have just seen this short video, it's in Ukrainian:

https://youtu.be/L9DDs94W7vo

This is the city of Lvov: Poroshenko is talking to his electorate. The video was filmed less than one week ago. Lvov is in West Ukraine and it is believed to be the anchor of Poroshenko's supporters. But in reality, the people are condemning him for the skyrocketed taxes and prices saying that with Yanukovich things were definitely better. One man refused to shake his hand shouting that Poroshenko is a traitor. In responce, Poroshenko advised all those dissatisfied to join the "ATO" forces in East Ukraine..

What is also curious: the video is shared by a Lvov source, the description is made in Ukrainian language. It has been watched 60,000 times already and practically all the comments below the video are in line with its message: Poroshenko betrayed the people of Ukraine by aligning himself with the Anglo-Zionist elites in waging war against ordinary people. Since the people of Lvov started openly blaming him in his face, this must be a very serious warning for Poroshenko: even West Ukraine is fed up with his machinations already.

Thank you for sharing Siberia, it's good to see that the people from western Ukraine (i hope the majority of them) are beginning to open their eyes and start to see/admit that all this tragedy that is happening right now in the eastern part of the country(the civil war started by the western governments + the nazi-oligarchic installed government in Kiev) hasn't brought them no positive outcome, what i mean is, i know that especially the western Ukraine was hostile towards Russia, towards Eastern Ukrainian population( which have been and are practically Russians who are living just across the border of Russia) mostly because of the psychological influence by a minority of pathological individuals(who influenced the people for many decades) with strong psychopathic tendencies who have manipulated easily the western people of Ukraine after the 2nd WW because of the rise of the communism in USSR,so it was the perfect situation to educate the future generations of western Ukrainians with the hate in their hearts towards the Russia, the perfect sett up for the whole Ukraine(from the perspective of western elites),most of them(western Ukrainian people) i don't know i hope I'm wrong but i think most of them aren't aware of this dynamic but i honestly hope that Poroshenko with his masters will help the western Ukrainians(by increasing taxes, cutting social services etc.) to see who he really is and who he really serves. .

Yeah, Lvov is very much part of the Nazi sympathizers' and rabid Russophobia centers in Ukraine. It's a sign of real trouble for the neo-Nazi-oligarch junta that there's so much anger and dissatisfaction there....

Not only is Poroshenko criticised by ordinary citizens, he is also having trouble with the Right Sector. This has been a recurring theme since the beginning and apparently it has not gone away. On the contrary whereas it was just an observation one could deduce from comments by officials and ministers, this time the spokesman of the President has dared to give voice to the issue.

Paramilitary units of the ultranationalist Right Sector movement have refused to come under the command of Ukraine’s Defense Ministry, President Petro Poroshenko’s aid told national TV. This might complicate the legal status of the group.

“I personally proposed a full legal clearance scheme to Right Sector,”
presidential aid Yury Biryukov told the Ukrainian Channel 5 TV station.

A number of options have been on the table, Biryukov said, all of them implying contract service under the command of Ukraine’s Defense Ministry.

“They turned down this service,” Biryukov said, adding that armed forces are primarily “about discipline, order, subordination and central command.” However, when a paramilitary unit wants to become legal, yet remain autonomous and report to nobody, “that is a sort of science fiction.”

Back in November, Biryukov declared Right Sector’s Ukrainian Volunteer Corps was going to get legal status as an armed forces unit, yet no confirmation of the announcement followed.

Yes, when the Right Sector is no longer useful they will be thrown under the truck and the Ukrainian government can wash their hands of all the war crimes that have been done and claim that is was without their knowledge etc. This is SOP from the CIA and US regime change playbook.

Lithuania, UK, Denmark and Estonia call for EU plan against Russian propaganda (1)
BNS
Friday, January 9, 2015
Lithuania, Great Britain, Denmark and Estonia have turned to the European Commission with a call to work out an action plan for fighting the Russian propaganda campaign, shows a copy of the letter obtained by BNS.

Four foreign ministers warned that "Russia is rapidly increasing its disinformation and propaganda campaign," which seeks to secure support to "political and military aims of the Russian government".

In a letter to the EU's foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini, the ministers called for "credible and competitive information alternatives for Russian-speaking populations and those using Russia's state-controlled media".

They suggested that Russian propaganda should be discussed at the meeting of EU ministers early in 2015 and invited European External Action Service to work out an action plan for 2015-2016.

The letter was signed by the foreign ministers of Lithuania, Great Britain, Denmark and Estonia, namely, Linas Linkevičius, Philip Hammond, Martin Lidegaard and Keit Pentus-Rosimannus.

Linkevičius, the Lithuanian diplomacy chief behind the initiative, told BNS on Friday that the ministers "do not propose censorship or bans, they only want conditions for truly impartial, free and alternative sources of information".

In his words, Russia is earmarking billions to the state-controlled media, therefore, "the society's immunity to manipulations should be a major concern".

"I would want more attention not just in words, but also in specific actions to the conditions that would allow people to get alternative, free and impartial information. It should in no way be controlled by other “correct” administrations, as this would not be free information," said the minister.

In the letter to Brussels, the four diplomats called for a platform that would provide information about the propaganda lies and manipulations, support initiatives to create Russian-language television channels, Internet portals, radios and press, encourage exchange of production within the EU and propose the production to the existing Russian media.

The ministers also said that the EU should pay more attention to impartial provision of information and transparency of interests, as well as prevent instigation of hatred, violence and war propaganda. To achieve this, the four chief diplomats suggested encouraging closer cooperation among EU media regulatory authorities.

From watching headlines and reading articles in Danish, it is very little that has been written about what is going on in Ukraine that contrasts with the picture that NATO, the US and Kiev governments wish to portray. And not even that many Danes or East Europeans are present on the few FB groups or comment on the pages of the newspapers, but perhaps it has been enough for the local agency and its affiliations to alert the foreign minister. On the other hand the sympathy for the narrative about history promoted by people like Yatsenyuk and the followers of Stephan Bandera, should give them hope that, in case their campaign fails, there will be a few governments where their ideology is understood and thanks to whom, they can settle down.

Armed conflict in Eastern Ukraine is still ongoing, if anyone is in doubt:

The night was very tense in Donetsk. Sabotage and reconnaissance groups of the enemy operated in the outskirts, and enemy drones were exceptionally active. Howitzers of the enemy shelled Petrovskiy district of the city from Krasnogorovka at about 4 AM. Also locality Trudovskoy, the 11th locality, the 12th mine and settlement Tikhiy had been shelled. Vostok battalion positions and the area of Volvo-Center were subjected to fire from SPG Nona at about 9 AM. Machine-gun fire was heard in the area of localities Opytnoye and Avdeyevka. Fighting and artillery duels were underway at the Lugansk front; there are casualties on both sides. In comparison to previous days the clashes at times bear fierce character.

The kind of arms used include these: _https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=650318815072627 which I found on the FB page of South Front. And below is short report about some of the places hit on January 8th.

I guess their worry about "Russian propaganda" is the same as their worries about "Russian invasion" with humanitarian aid convoys.
