So the path crosses nearly all, or all towns in the US called Nineveh. My thinking was that many randomly drawn paths with the same width would cross towns named Ninevah, but no, not if the actual path of totality is the only (slightly curved path) that hits all towns.

What is the Significance of the city of Nineveh in the Bible?
Nineveh is notable in the Bible as the capital city of Assyria, a longtime enemy of Israel. Located in what is now modern Iraq, Nineveh is mentioned in Scripture as a place that turned away from sin through a warning by God, but which was later destroyed.

The first mention of Nineveh is in the Table of Nations, which describes the many cities Nimrod built in Assyria including “Nineveh, Rehoboth Ir, Calah and Resen, which is between Nineveh and Calah—which is the great city” (Genesis 10:11–12). Nineveh was known for its great wealth, power, and prestige. The Assyrians were notorious for their cruelty and idolatry (Nahum 3:19). Their capital, Nineveh, contained many temples, including one to Ishtar, the Assyrian goddess that some scholars believe was the namesake of Nineveh.

In 2 Kings 19:36 and Isaiah 37:37, Nineveh is depicted as the center of the Assyrian Empire and home to King Sennacherib. Sennacherib led a successful campaign against many nations, but he failed to take Jerusalem due to the Lord’s intervention. He returned to Nineveh and was later killed in the temple of the Assyrian god Nisrok (2 Kings 19:35–37).

Nineveh is well-known as the place where the prophet Jonah was sent by God to preach (Jonah 1:2). Jonah was reluctant to go, probably because of the Assyrians’ great wickedness, and he tried to run from the Lord’s command. God intercepted Jonah and sent him to the Ninevites by making a great fish swallow him (Jonah 1:3, 17). In Nineveh, Jonah proclaimed the coming judgment on that city (Jonah 2:10; 3:1–4). Instead of rejecting the Lord’s warning, the Ninevites humbled themselves and repented of their sin, from the king on down. The whole city fasted, put on sackcloth, and sat in ashes—they even dressed their animals in sackcloth (Jonah 3:5–9). Seeing that the city of Nineveh repented of their wickedness, “God relented concerning the judgment he had threatened them with and he did not destroy them” (Jonah 3:10, NET).

Jesus mentioned the Ninevites and their repentance, contrasting that response to the unbelief of the Pharisees and teachers of the law (Matthew 12:39–41). Rejecting Christ has no excuse: “The people of Nineveh will also stand up against this generation on judgment day and condemn it, for they repented of their sins at the preaching of Jonah. Now someone greater than Jonah is here—but you refuse to repent” (Luke 11:32, NLT). Being far greater than the prophet Jonah, Jesus had shown Himself to be the Messiah, but the Jewish people still refused to believe in Him or repent of their sin (Matthew 12:22–24). The Ninevites had responded to God’s message delivered by a lesser man (Jonah 3:5), and here was God’s message delivered by the Son of God Himself.

Although Nineveh escaped destruction during the time of Jonah, a later generation still had to face a reckoning. The prophet Nahum prophesied of the destruction of the city because of the people’s evilness. Nahum’s predictions for Nineveh’s destruction came to pass when the Babylonians, Medes, and Scythians sacked the city in 612 BC. Nineveh’s walls had been breached by flood waters, allowing their attackers to enter the city. The city’s ruin was ultimately a product of God’s divine wrath (Nahum 1:8–10). The Lord declared judgment on the city because of Nineveh’s wickedness: “Woe to the city of blood, full of lies, full of plunder, never without victims!” (Nahum 3:1)...

The North American Solar Eclipse aka The Seven Salem Eclipse ​

The North American Eclipse, aka The Seven Salem Eclipse, occurred on August 21, 2017. It was called The Seven Salem Eclipse because its path of totality overshadowed seven cities named Salem as it traveled across North America. The eclipse migrated in a southeasterly direction from Salem, Oregon, and crossed the country, reaching the end of its path near Salem, South Carolina.
It passed seven cities named Salem in the following states: Oregon, Idaho, Wyoming, Nebraska, Kentucky, and South Carolina.

The cosmic chance of a total solar eclipse is extraordinary by itself, but when it takes place over seven cities named Salem, it is an event that should cause us to stop and spend a few moments in awe. What was God up to?

What Occurs During a Total Solar Eclipse?​

As explained in the National Geographic video below, “Solar Eclipse 101,” Angeli Gabriel narrates, “A solar eclipse happens when a new moon moves between the earth and the sun, blocking some or all of the sun’s rays from reaching the earth … When the moon does eclipse the sun, it casts two types of shadows on Earth. A smaller, darker shadow, is known as the umbra, and a larger shadow is known as the penumbra.
“There are four types of solar eclipses. The first and most spectacular is a total eclipse, when the moon completely covers the sun’s surface. A total eclipse can only be seen if you are standing within the umbral shadow. Heavenly Signs
Could The Seven Salem Eclipse have been a sign from God? Signs visualized in the heavens can signify meaningful events. Should we stop and consider such potential signs?
  • We learn in the Book of Matthew that the star seen by the Maji prompted the wise men to travel to Bethlehem in search of the prophesied King born of the Jews.
  • In the Book of Luke, Jesus tells us that we can expect to see signs in the sun and the moon.
  • Book of Genesis reminds us that the rainbow observed across the vault is a sign from God, signifying His covenant with all of creation.
  • In the book of Luke, Jesus states, “When we see the signs, know the Kingdom of God is near.”

The Sign of the Covenant​

When The Seven Salem Eclipse crossed the seven Salems, it appeared as a golden ring in the sky for several seconds. This phenomenon occurs when the moon aligns with the sun and covers the sun completely, except for the sun’s exposed outer rim. The outer edges observed peeking from behind the moon forms the image of a golden ring. As the moon passes between the sun and Earth, the eclipse projects the appearance of a diamond ring for a brief moment. The engagement ring and its accompanying wedding band are visible in the sky within seconds of each other.
Let us take this concept a little farther. When we visualize a rainbow in the sky, it comprises seven-colored rings, not half circles. We only see half of the phenomenon from the ground. Suppose we observe a rainbow from a higher elevation, such as from a helicopter or airplane, it is possible to spot the entire circle. The rings of color symbolize the covenant relationship between God and the earth, according to Genesis.
Bands of gold also symbolize a covenant relationship when people marry. The band’s circular form has no beginning or end and symbolizes an eternal union with endless love.
The Sign of Rebirth and Resurrection
There was another ring that most may not recognize. We can only imagine how the scene may have appeared to the soldiers guarding the tomb of Jesus. At the moment of His resurrection, a glorified light must have illuminated the tomb. When Jesus rose again, a golden brilliance would have escaped out from behind the round stone covering his grave. As the stone rolled away, the image would have mimicked the movements of a total solar eclipse. This ring would have been one of God’s most glorious signs. The resurrection of Jesus was God’s ultimate covenant with humankind.

The Sign of Peace​

What could a ring over Salem indicate? Why Salem? Some may ask, “Isn’t Salem associated with witchcraft?” No, Salem is not associated with witchcraft. Salem, in Hebrew, signifies ‘Peace.’ The word Salem is also present in the name Jerusalem. Jesus was crucified in Jerusalem at the age of 33, in the year 33 AD. Scientific evidence discovered by Rick Larson, seen in the documentary “The Star of Bethlehem,” suggests a total solar eclipse occurred at the time of Jesus’ death on the cross. This event could explain the well-documented dark sky at the time He died.
In the Books of Genesis and Hebrews, we read about a mysterious king who remains obscure. His name was Melchizedek. He was also known as the King of Salem as well as the King of Peace.

There are 36 towns and cities named Salem, so it would be more likely to hit some towns with a 'randomly generated path of totality'. 'Salem' is mentioned in the bible, but does not have great significance there it seems.

Here are some excerpts from the two videos linked below, which consider the fact that this upcoming eclipse will be the THIRD one to cross America since 2017.

Another interesting detail of the paths of the 3 eclipses is that they form the shape of the first and last letters of the original Paleo Hebrew (vs. modernized version) alphabet which look like a capital A turned sideways (aleph) and an X (tau). In the Greek alphabet, used for writing the New Testament, alpha and omega are first and last letters. Alpha and Omega implies the first, the last and everything in between (i.e. All). This title is used four times related to the judgements in the book of Revelation. Aleph and Tau might mean "this is the beginning of the end" or "all of America faces judgement" Read the sobering details in Revelation 19, where America is referred to as "The Great Babylon".

Solar eclipses have been seen as omens of judgement for thousands of years, as documented in Amos 8:9-10. April 8 is the 3rd eclipse since 2017 casting its shadow across America to form 3 X's. The one in April first crosses Eagle Pass, TX where the border war is brewing up a likely civil war. It then takes a path which crosses 8 cities named Ninevah (i.e. city with looming judgement, thus Jonah's mission). The last 2 eclipses make an X on the earthquake fault right off Seattle's coast that is exactly like the one in Indonesia which killed 250,000. It's predicted to cause a 400-foot tidal wave to hit Seattle and surrounding coastlines.

The X created by the 2017 eclipse and the one coming up is right at the New Madrid fault which is overdue to cause massive earthquake. The last one was 100+ years ago and caused the Mississippi River to run backwards for 3 days. There are predictions it might allow the Great Lakes to flow out down to the Gulf of Mexico.

Little Egypt is area in southern Illinois where native American tribes used to do human sacrifices (e.g. skeletons have been unearthed of 250 young girls have been stacked up in mounds there). After abortion law struck down, the first 2 abortion clinics ever opened there to service abortion seekers from southern states.

San Antonio = Saint Anthony who is symbolized holding a snake. St. Anthony hospitals sprung up in 1700's where nuns treated women having difficult labor with a wheat fungus that later was learned to cause a reaction named "Saint Anthony's fire". Some think this represents the "modern" medical establishment which practices pharmakia" (i.e. drug-based evil targeted for judgment in Revelation).

Two years ago i was captivaded by these two eclipses, marking the X. Some remarkable things i've stumbled upon:

- there is exactly 6 years, 6 months. 6 weeks and 6 days between the two eclipses (look it up, its clockwork): Date Duration Calculator: Days Between Dates

In the 1811 earthquakes in midwestern and southern US, A comet was seen and a total solar eclipse happened at this time. The Great Comet

The appearance of this great comet, which was visible around the globe for seventeen months, and was at its brightest during the earthquakes. The comet, has an orbit of 3,065 years, was last seen during the time of Ramses II in Egypt.

In December of 1811 the comet appeared to some observers to fade and to others it appeared to “perform frightening acrobatics and split in two”. Curiously, it also had a circumpolar orbit as viewed by many, staying within view for 24 hours a day at certain latitudes, appearing to be “homing in” on the earth. When the earthquakes struck and the Mississippi actaully flowed backwards for a brief time, locals in the region, thought the comet had struck the earth on the upper Mississippi or Ohio Rivers.

The great comet of 1811 was first spotted in March of 1811 and its intensity increased through December 1811. Some recordings show it had a tail 25 degrees long and a head 50% larger than the sun. It's intensity was brightest on Oct, 1811; it faded away by April, 1812. This comet was the most visible celestrial sight that occurred in 2000 years.

I remember Part of Edgar Cayce's predictions about the earth changes were that the earthquakes would take place when a comet can be seen with the naked eye in the northern hemisphere. This is getting interesting...
 
I found it odd when I heard a week or two ago that Niagara Falls had declared a state of emergency for the April 8 eclipse, all the schools are closed and everyone is encouraged to stay inside. Today I read that several states in the US have also declared it an emergency, and I imagine many more places have done the same. I don't know whether they always do this for eclipses, but I don't have any memory from the past 54 years of the authorities doing anything more than warning people to be careful about looking at them. Now I'm reading here about law enforcement having emergency food and water on hand. What the hell?

Without speculating on any kind of major upheaval that might occur around this eclipse, my first thought was that they really don't want us looking at this eclipse! But then I thought, maybe it isn't the eclipse they don't want us looking at. What if it's something else?

Do you think it might be possible that the light conditions created by this event might, at some point, make something visible in the sky that normally is not? Like the sun's companion, maybe? Or something else? I don't know.

It was just a thought.
