Las Vegas, Nevada

I'm about to experience the city of Las Vegas for the first time. It'll be a short holiday of five days. This trip was planned about 6 months ago by two of my cousins and their spouses and they invited my partner and I to join them. I don't see my cousins very often, once a year at best, so saw it as a good opportunity to spend time with them. I'm not much into gambling but will tour around the city to see the spectacle at least. My main interests are taking a helicopter tour of the Grand Canyon for one day and the next day driving out to the Valley of Fire for a bit of scenery.

I feel blessed to be able to do this at this time as air travel is getting expensive. We got a decent deal on airfare and hotel from a friend of mine who is a travel agent and had set that up for us. Also, at the back of my mind, I am a bit nervous about flying and going to a major U.S. city at this time but will remain vigilant and enjoy the experience as much as possible. I'll post some pictures at a later date if I can.

Have a wonderful time at Las Vegas and enjoy the company of your cousins. Funnily enough I was looking on Y/Tube the other night and there were some very old photos of Las Vegas before it was built up. They were amazing with so much open land. Time or rather man has really changed the landscape.

Safe journey and keep an eye out the window for any UFO's keeping you company..

Enjoy your trip! The only advise I could give you, which I heard from a co-worker who lives in Vegas, is that if you are going to gamble a little, don’t do it on the main big casinos. The rate of winning something it’s really minimal on those and if you do win something they’ll keep an eye on you!
Try to play on less famous casinos.
Now, Will that be true or not? Can’t say, but he was born and raised there so I’ll take his word about it!
