Hmm, maybe in part his appearance serves the function of the 'security valve' - he is allowed to release some of his steam, people are releasing their steam after hearing him and in this way the illusion of "freedom of speech" is perpetuated? Some may think: "There was SOME TRUTH allowed in TV, so it's really not like 'conspiracy nuts' say".

What a tricky bastards those 'controllers' are...
 
I get the impression that GG just won't allow himself to "go there" because he (consciously or not) wants to avoid the "conspiracy theorist" label that the media shills would no doubt press upon him with unrestrained glee. It would not surprise me to see him "switch sides" and begin supporting the truth about 911 once it began to look obvious that it was going to blow wide open. Unfortunately it doesn't look like this is happening yet.
