Amazon's 'unnatural history': Documentary suggests forest once widely populated

I watched the video during the summer that Niall first posted above and thought it hugely interesting. The interconnected communities, waste systems and their soil bio systems speaks to a lost understanding of this area - so thanks for that.

Here's another good one:

I think the presenter gives a good overview of topic and the kinds of practices being implemented (to include the use of hay in deserts and mob stocking that LBQ brought up).

This was another great presentation and in it they mention a book called 'Beyond the Rangeland Conflict' which later allowed groups of ranchers and environmentalists to form called "Boots & Birkenstocks" where their issues were sorted out. Think this book might be worth while reading.

Michael BC posted above also on the video called 'How Wolves Change Rivers' which was featured on the forum here earlier in the year. Our past sciences/policies have had such detrimental effects - species targeting and cutting out symbiotic links in the careful animal/environmental cycles - which is what Allan Savory came to realize after decades of horrible policy also posted above.

Thanks for all the posts and video links.
