Seeing through the doublethink: Primary evidence on losses of the combatants at Donbass

http://thesaker.is/seeing-through-the-doublethink-primary-evidence-on-losses-of-the-combatants-at-donbass/

Colonel Cassad has posted an update about the imminent threat of the Kiev junta launching renewed hostilities as early as this month: http://cassad-eng.livejournal.com/140368.html .

On the 10th of March, there was an article in the Russian languaged blog, antifashist.com (http://antifashist.com/item/v-debalcevskom-lesu-pryachutsya-280-golodnyh-pravosekov.html) which claimed that 280 members of the Right Sector have been hiding in a forest area somewhere near Debaltsevo, without ammunition and food. They apparently did not wish to hand themselves over and chose to hide until help came from Poroshenko, the UAF, or they managed to get to Artemevsk some 70 km away, none of which was realistic . Now that they have been found out, DPR and LPR have taken care of the issue. From my perspective, it shows that just because an area is claimed by some party, does not mean that absolutely everything is under control apart from the major cities, towns and villages.

In the same article, they said that in an area in the vicinity of Debaltsevo near an artificial lake called Kozlyachy Stavok" there is a mass grave with an estimated 5800 dead bodies of UAF soldiers. Work has begun to dig the bodies out. I don't quite understand how they can give such a fairly exact number when the job has not been completed, unless some records tells them how many there are supposed to be. Anyhow, that the UAF has left surprises is well known. Above ground there were the weapons and ammunition left behind, the mines in the ground, the destroyed and vandalized buildings, the people who had died just prior to the escape or surrender, and now below the ground a large number of more dead bodies. Among these there may also be captured and shot soldiers of the armies of LPR and DPR as well as abducted civilians from nearby towns and villages. How many of the alleged 5800 dead people are truly from the UAF and their volunteer battalions, and how many have another history we may never know. In any case, digging out the bodies and giving them a hopefully proper funeral is in my opinion a good idea. Life has to continue, and to live on top of a mass grave is not pleasant, even if one doesn't know about it. In this regard, I recall a Russian friend from the Volgograd area who once told me about the case of dead German soldier from WW2 still hanging around after 35 years because he had not yet got help to transition, or so the story goes. A war creates suffering on many levels.

The plot, as they say, thickens. A Russian FSB source reportedly revealed to a Komsomolskaya Pravda correspondent that Boris Nemtsov's assassination was ordered by Chechen gangsters in Ukraine at the direction of the Ukrainian fascist junta's SBU spooks, who are controlled by the American CIA or UK MI6.

Suicide Or Homicide? In Ukraine, Old-Guard Officials Dying Mysteriously

By Marichka Naboka

March 08, 2015

This year Ukraine has seen a bizarre string of deaths involving high-ranking officials, including a ex-city mayor, a former railway executive, and the former head of the state body in charge of privatization.

A total of five officials died in a single 34-day period between January 28 and February 28. In each case, the deaths have been ruled probable suicides. But the victims' political allegiances and job histories have led many in Ukraine to suspect that the men were in fact murdered:

Add another one to the list - Alexander Peklushenko, the former governor of Ukraine’s Zaporizhia region.

Ex-governor of Ukraine’s Zaporizhia region found dead in his home
http://tass.ru/en/world/782399

KIEV, March 12 /TASS/. Alexander Peklushenko, the former governor of Ukraine’s Zaporizhia region, has been found dead in his home, Anton Gerashchenko, a Ukrainian parliament deputy and an adviser to Ukraine’s interior minister, said on Thursday.

"There are grounds to believe that he had been driven to suicide," Gerashchenko said in an interview aired by a Ukrainian television channel.

Peklushenko’s body - with a bullet in the neck - was found in the Solnechnyi village on Thursday. Law enforcers are working at the scene.

Peklushenko was a member of the Party of Regions and the head of the party’s branch in the Zaporizhia region. He was appointed governor of the Zaporizhia region in 2011. Prior to that he had been a deputy of Ukraine’s Verkhovnaya Rada (parliament) of the IV-VI convocations.

Another two members of Ukraine’s Party of Regions, Mikhail Chechetov and Stanislav Melnik, were found dead some time ago. A number of high-ranking officials committed suicides in Ukraine from January 26 to February 28. Nikolay Sergiyenko, the former first deputy head of the Ukrzheldoroga railway company who was appointed by Ukraine’s former Prime Minister Mykola Azarov shot himself from a hunting rifle; Alexey Kolesnik, the former governor of the Kharkiv region, hanged himself in his home on January 29 without leaving a suicide note. The 57-year-old mayor of Melitopol, Sergey Valter, hanged himself on February 25 hours before a court hearing on his case. The body of Alexander Bordyuga, the deputy chief of the Melitopol police department, was found in a garage on February 26.

This is more evidence of what I've been suspecting - layers of criminals, all with close ties to "Western" alphabet soup agencies. The plot DOES thicken....

About the arms used in Eastern Ukraine
Some months back a report was published about the type of arms used in the Ukrainian civil war. The information in the report has been collected and analyzed by a team of experts and written by two of them, Jonathan Ferguson and N.R. Jenzen-Jone.
You can read about the qualifications of the researchers here: http://www.armamentresearch.com/our-team/
TAbout their work in 2014 there is this:
http://www.armamentresearch.com/armament-research-services-in-2014/ said:
Armament Research Services (ARES) had a very successful year, and produced important pieces of work over the course of 2014. The company has solidified its position in supplying critical technical information and project support to various actors in the arms and munitions field, with successful results in field and desk-based research, analysis, technical review, training, and project support. Key areas of growth have included counter-proliferation, incendiary weapons, analysis of armed group capabilities, and broad spectrum weapons technical intelligence (TECHINT).

ARES also launched our successful Freelance Journalist Assistance Programme (FJAP) in 2014. We have assisted a number of journalists under the FJAP on a pro bono basis, as well as having worked with larger media organisations to provide detailed background research, analysis, and expert commentary on a wide range of arms and munitions related news stories. As well as being featured in mainstream media, ARES material is also published by specialist journals, including those of the International Ammunition Association (IAA) and the European Cartridge Research Association (ECRA). ARES staff have delivered training to journalists in various regions around the world, with more planned for 2015. Forensic capabilities have also been exercised on behalf of journalists, and this capability will be fully developed in 2015.
As an example of cooperation with the media I found an an analysis for VICE news about the use of cluster ammunitions: http://www.armamentresearch.com/vice-news-commission-ares-report-on-cluster-munition-use-in-ukraine/ and
https://news.vice.com/article/i-couldnt-move-for-five-minutes-from-fear-an-investigation-into-cluster-bombs-in-eastern-ukraine

The ARES report about weapons in Ukraine http://armamentresearch.com/Uploads/Research%20Report%20No.%203%20-%20Raising%20Red%20Flags.pdf, was posted around November 18th 2014 according to http://www.armamentresearch.com/ares-research-report-no-3-raising-red-flags-an-examination-of-arms-munitions-in-the-ongoing-conflict-in-ukraine-2014/

Here one finds a wealth of information about the different types of armes that have been used in Ukraine February and October of 2014. In the report there is a list of abbrevations for special terms used by the military-industrial complex to designate a particular weapon, page 4-7, also one finds a list of high quality pictures of very many weapons, page 10-16. About the pictures on page 21-27, taken in Crimea in February-March 2014 they mostly use the phrase to describe the person in the picture: "Unidentified uniformed combatant (presumed to be a Russian soldier) [...]". The reason why it is presumed is based on a close analysis of the weapons they carried, and the level of sophistication compared to the possibility they were Ukrainians only.

On page 84 and 85 of the report, there is a list of weapons used by the armed forces in Lugansk and Donetsk which have not come from the old stock of weapons already in Ukraine. Most of the weapons were produced in the Russian Federation, the former Sovjet Union or in one case Poland.

Since the publication, new information has been added and it is published among other news and updates on the company blog: http://www.armamentresearch.com/hoplite/

For example in 2014 a 95Ya6 rocket booster was found, a photo of which can be seen on page 78 of the report I mentioned. However for this weapon no launcher had been evidenced so it remained open if it had been used, but later in February the truck that fires them has been photographed in Eastern Ukraine: http://www.armamentresearch.com/russian-96k6-pantsir-s1-air-defence-system-in-ukraine/ updated on February 19th For other information about this weapons system, see: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pantsir-S1

Other updates to the report include http://www.armamentresearch.com/ukrainian-operated-umz-mine-laying-system-in-ukraine/ from March 3rd

http://www.armamentresearch.com/ukrainian-government-returns-2s7-pion-self-propelled-artillery-to-service/ from November 23rd

http://www.armamentresearch.com/soviet-russian-flame-weapons-incendiary-thermobaric-and-fae-systems-in-ukraine/ from November 20th

During my reading of the blog on the ARES website, I did not encounter an analysis of the weapons found in the Donetsk Airport of Western origen, also nothing about the special expensive US tool found after the collapse of the Debaltsevo cauldron in February.

Are there Russian soldiers in Eastern Ukraine?
Yes, no, ?

An interview with an injured volunteer soldier from Siberia
It is translated into English on http://en.novayagazeta.ru/politics/67620.html posted on March 13th
in Russian on http://www.novayagazeta.ru/society/67490.html published on March 2nd. It is written by Elena Kostyuchenko whom can you find here https://www.facebook.com/elena.kostyuchenko.7?fref=ts# Her article is criticised here (in Russian) http://nahnews.com.ua/171420-bronekonnye-buryaty-i-buryatskie-tankovodolaznye-batalony/ To the critic I would say, yes, she is writing for the opposition media. Yes she is an LBGT activist, but that does not disqualify her as a person. Yes it is a long interview, but maybe it wasn't all done in one session.
Why would they let her into the hospital to see an injured person? Well, money, medicine, connections, coincidences etc.
I tried to find other youtubes about the injured soldier and there was this
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9yPN3UmQa8k where the injured man meets with a Russian singer Joseph Kobzon http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joseph_Kobzon In the interview, the injured man mentions he met him on the Ferbruary 23. That matches, because on that day his face looked worse, than it did on the picture Elena Kostyuchenko took.

Here are a few lines from the article:
“We were fully aware of what we brought ourselves to and what could happen”
[...]
— How did you get here?

— I was called to service on November 25, 2013. I got here voluntarily. Only contract soldiers could be sent here, ...
The author anounced the interview on her FB: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=919478668097498&set=a.151157084929664.26063.100001061213139&type=1
She wrote if I translate from Russian to English: "I spoke with the soldier who is not there."

One more. Sergey Melnichuk, was fallen out the window from, according to mk.ru, his wife's duplex penthouse (a very expensive one) on the 9th floor Saturday (14 March) morning, around 5 am. First claimed to be suicide, now investigated under criminal law as murder as it's become apparent there was a fight in the apartment.

32 y.o. Melnichuk was a senior prosecutor in one of Odessa districts, where apparently the whole office was much more involved in business and corruption than doing their job.

More on Melnichuk and the office's corruption and connections, in Russian:

It's already the 7th politician from the pro-Russian "Party of the Regions" (which was actually banned from the Ukrainian Parlament) who was suicided in March.

Sounds like Poroshenko is lining up five joint exercises, much in line with Colonel Cassad has stated. The missing puzzle, which has been omitted - where does NATO fit in?

Ukraine plans joint military exercises with U.S., Poland for 2015 - bill

http://en.interfax.com.ua/news/general/255135.html?

President Petro Poroshenko has introduced a bill to parliament to let foreign armed forces into Ukraine to take part in five joint exercises with Ukrainian forces.

According to the draft law, Ukraine plans three Ukrainian-American command post exercises, Fearless Guardian 2015, Sea Breeze 2015 and Saber Guardian/Rapid Trident 2015, and two Ukrainian-Polish exercises, Secure Skies 2015, and Law and Order 2015, for this year.

Fearless Guardian will take place in Yavoriv district, Lviv region, in the period from March to November and will bring together a maximum of 2,200 troops. Ukraine is providing up to 200 armed forces troops and up to 1,000 National Guard personnel, and the U.S. will be represented by a maximum of 1,000 servicemen.

Sea Breeze will be a 25-day exercise held between June and October in the Black Sea and at training sites in the regions of Odesa, Mykolaiv and Kherson. A maximum of 2,500 troops will take part in it.

Ukraine and the United States will each be represented by a maximum of 1,000 troops. The rest of the personnel will come from other NATO countries and member countries of NATO's Partnership for Peace program (up to 500 troops).

Saber Guardian/Rapid Trident will also take place in Yavoriv district. The 25-day exercise, to be held between July and October, will bring together up to 2,100 troops, with up to 1,000 representing Ukraine, up to 500 the United States, and up to 600 other NATO and Partnership for Peace member countries.

Secure Skies is a 14-day tactical air force exercise in which a maximum of 250 Ukrainian and 100 Polish servicemen will take part.

Law and Order is a one-week military police exercise in Yavoriv that will together 50 Ukrainians and 50 Poles.

Permission from parliament is needed to allow foreign military personnel into Ukraine.

In the past, perhaps, wars were fought with loud proclamations and big armies clashed. Today this is not the case most of the time. In a previous post, I mentioned the interview by Elena Kostyuchenko with a young man from the Irkutsk, Baikal area in Siberia who was injured in a place where he was not.

Some of those who were where they were not returned home to be buried. This is investigated in this report from Vice News, made by Lucy Kafanov: https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=C66mAkS1ZfM posted with a preamble on https://news.vice.com/video/russias-ghost-army-in-ukraine-full-length Also she wrote an article about her work which is found here https://news.vice.com/article/it-is-a-government-crime-the-coffins-of-russias-ghost-soldiers-in-ukraine-are-coming-home

About the work Lucy Kafanov is doing in general, one can read here https://www.facebook.com/LucyKafanov and here http://www.lucykafanov.com/ She was maybe a few years ago on this list http://thehill.com/capital-living/23942-50-most-beautiful-people-on-capitol-hill-40-more Until June 2014 she did work for RT: http://rt.com/tags/lucy-kafanov/

In the video you will see Lucy Kafanov travel to Pskov, Samara area, St. Petersburg and Moscow trying to find out what has happened.

At minute 6:30 in the above documentary her interviewee said:
"A lot of peole watch TV and they genuinely believe that Ukraine has fascsts in power."
It seems to me, based on the data collected that it is indeed a much better description to say that "Ukraine has fascists in power", than to claim that "Ukraine does not have fascists in power".

She mentions one website http://lostivan.com/ allegedly run by a Ukrainian computer guy who has collected a list of people who apparently have been lost where they were not, at the time of the making, it had amounted to some 580 people. I checked it out, fx http://lostivan.com/ivan/4310 a woman whose "Crime" is that she has helped to bring humanitarian help to the "terrorists", crossed illegally into Ukraine, (probably through the area controlled by the Donetsk/Lugansk people republics who had been promised more autonomy in the Minsk 2 agreement).

There is also a map of people with informaiton about people who have been taken POW, died: http://lostivan.com/map If you try to check only the first two squares, those killed or taken POW, and refresh you can see the number of places the people came from, if you then highlight the marks there is information about the person. It appears to me that this site may contain something of value, but it is also malicious. This is not surprising when one reads the list of sites they link to: http://lostivan.com/about

At minute 13:30 a representative of the Soldier's Mother's Group in St. Petersburg mentions that on August 13, some 100 were killed and 300 wounded.

At minute 27, there is an interview with an oncle of one young man who lost a legs when his unit was ambushed. About the situation in Russia the man says:
"In Russia, everybody puts the government first, they care about the unity of Russia as a nation, and believe that Russia is surrounded by imperialism that is aiming to crush the country. A new generation has grown up on this culture. They happily participate in the military act against the damned Europe with its gay values and I don't know what else. One never knows. Is the country now split up into a large body of patriots and a tiny group of sane people?"
It seems to me that the patriots are far from insane, considering that it was the EU/US who instigated the trouble in Ukraine preparing it over many years. The "problem" with Russia is that it doesn't just give in to the EU/US chaos rulers and why should it? Besides Europe needs help if it is to get away from being bullied into submission by the US as some politicians in the EU are slowly realizing. Time will show if Europe is able to genuinely appreciate the offer.

A not to exact site, Sorcha Faal has a couple of reports about American soldiers in Ukraine _http://www.whatdoesitmean.com/index1845.htm and they refer to an earlier report: _http://www.whatdoesitmean.com/index1839.htm

They claim that a number of US soldiers were left behind in the Debaltsevo cauldron and some had died. In one report they say the soldiers were from a base in Italy, in the other that they were stationed in Romania. I don't know what is up and down with Sorcha Faal. To track their sources sometimes leads nowhere, but having worked on the issue of dead soldiers in the previous post I thought it would be alright to include a remark that dead solidiers from Ukraine cdme from many flags, probably also American.

Sorcha Faal is a well-known disinformation operator that has been "poisoning the well" on the internet for years. Nothing he (or she - I get a distinct intuition that the writer is female from reading excerpts) writes should be believed unless it's corroborated by other sources considered objective and reliable.

However, there were reports earlier this year that mysterious cargo planes were landing in the dead of night in Kharkhov, and NAF fighters reportedly found NATO uniforms, equipment and training manuals in the Donetsk airport ruins. An English speaking (US/UK) mercenary was caught on video in Mariupol. Maybe he was one of the several hundred Blackwater/Xe/Academi thugs reportedly hired by Ukraine.
