Leave the world behind

I thought it was a bad movie. They somehow managed to make a societal collapse boring, I didn't like any of the characters, and the dialog / writing felt pretty shallow. The only thing that drove it was a handful of 'apocalyptic' type events, but even those were more haphazardly or awkwardly placed than sustaining or compelling. I regretted having watched the whole thing when it was over.
It was a bit of a shallow film. As has been mentioned, the scenes were brilliant and well shot though. I thought it had a very "Alfred Hitchcock" aura of suspense but never delivered on it. Suspense led to more suspense and at the end I felt that the characters were just naval gazing.

And at the end it leaves a very precise subconscious programming, you have to have a final day bunker built, under your million dollar house.

A future desired by someone perhaps.
Yet, for some reason, that million dollar house didn't serve its owner on the doomsday, while people who never planned or had a clue this was coming found themselves away from the chaos initially and close to the shelter.

I watched the movie as well a couple days ago and I found it quite interesting to say the least. It stayed with me for a while after. I liked the suspense and the way the plot was not about a hero that is going to save his family and the whole world, the fact that while admitting some people pull the strings in the World, "the best they can hope for is a heads-up", which in my opinion is not downplaying the role of the hidden hand in creating the chaos, but it's telling that even them, in the end, cannot do much about something that perhaps has a greater cause then us: cosmic changes. I understood the animals' behavior as a hint to such changes: the electromagnetic grid falling down and the birds loosing their GPS, just like the family man trying to get to the nearest town.

There are better disaster movies out there. I also regret the time spent watching it. And by the way, what's with the deers?
Aren't they a symbol for "them" (the cabal, whatever) like the monarch butterflies and the apples and the pyramids..?

Since it seems like a comms movie, I figure I'd check to see if bitchute had it, and sure enough, It did! It was a visually nice move but a bit too much spinning, it left me dizzy. My take-away messaging was "Read the signs, take proper action (dont just wait), and you'll be protected".
The neighbor stocking up his truck at the grocery store, the ship crashing, sudden movement of money by weathly individuals (as told by George later in the movie), animal movement, Rose's story rescue analogy, fliers pointing fingers at two different countries - all the "signs" needed for our fictional cast to realize they're in a bad spot
This one, I'm not quite sure but there's a reason they had a short sequence where Rose went missing. I'm guessing is "follow the deer" where deer can also be DoE, maybe top down info leak to find out what you need to do? AKA follow order that were given? Oh and if you get wire tapped bit by a bug, teeth will be lost.
Who's the only one that "took action"? (Magic number) 13 yr old Daughter, who found the bunker before everyone else, and got her reward for the final episode of FRIENDS. Oh, and the bunker has everything she'd ever need, the perfect protection! (How many houses does the Thornes even have that a bunker is left unoccupied when SHTF??)
I'm wondering are they having issues wrangling their henchmen assets, hence the messaging of the movie?

I watched this the other night. Didnt particularly like it. To be honest, I didnt even find it to be a proper movie. There was no ending and very little character development. Maybe Ethan hawke had the most at the end when he explained the type of man he was. For the most part, it gave me the creeps, especially seeing as the obama’s were involved. It certainly had a great atmosphere, but I wonder if it wouldn't have hit if cyber attacks hadnt been ongoing over the last few years and are in the public psyche. Maybe they will make a second one and actually end the story they started. I cant seem them doing it. i get the impression this movies main goal was fear and paranoia.

Mind Control Movie Review Podcast - Netflix's "Leave The World Behind" with Julia Roberts and Ethan Hawke
In this new podcast, I first review 2 interesting aspects of the New Zealand COVID injection data dump, which proves that the New Zealand government is euthanizing its own citizens, which of course is exactly what's happening in most countries today. There are 2 very important aspects to the data dump that no one is talking about. I also do a mind control movie review of the new Netflix film Leave the World Behind.

One of his comments is: I really think it was about getting people on coffee and alcohol more and weed and sex. The effects these things have on brain function make all other mind control psy-ops possible.

Nobody mentioned that this movie was filmed by Sam Esmail, the creator of Mr. Robot. He delivered same message again: control is illusion. While Mr. Robot was about external corporate control over citizens, this time is citizens' control over their lives, well, the lack of it actually. Hurry up and order yourself a new bunker. Are Obamas into construction business now?

From an aesthetic point of view the movie is gorgeous. Again Esmail creates a captivating screen experience, which is not so common these days. You may not like the script but the shooting is a piece of art.
I think when the movie character said there is no one in control it was when collapse happens many things can go south and there is wishfull thinking from the side of elite, so they inflate their influence... no need to build bunkers if they had so much control and being all mighty in the first place...

Some highlights from the good review on the VC site: The Hidden Symbolism in “Leave the World Behind”, a Disturbing Movie Produced by the Obamas - The Vigilant Citizen Yes, all the usual NWO signs and setups are there, from 666 to one eye sign etc.
Produced by Barack and Michelle Obama, “Leave the World Behind” is about the complete collapse of America from within. And, through symbolism, the movie actually wants us to think that America deserves that collapse. Here’s a look at the movie and the disturbing messages it conceals.

[...]
In Conclusion

Leave the World Behind was made with the input of some of the most powerful people in the world and it shows. It is not entertainment, it is indoctrination. It is predictive programming where a script is presented to the public so it can more easily be accepted when the time comes. On a deeper level, the movie is a way of releasing the elite of its “karmic duties” as they believe that they need to warn the public of their evil and destructive deeds before they happen. That way, instead of being victims, people are willing participants in the evil thus freeing those behind it from karmic retribution. If this sounds crazy to you, well, I don’t blame you. These people are crazy and we’re living in crazy times.
[...]
No matter what the case may be, the movie is already accomplishing a major goal of the elite: To frighten and demoralize the masses. Thanks Obama!

Perhaps I’m throwing memes in posts a bit too much, and I apologize if I appear to have devolved from using words and just use pictures, now.
But darn it if some of the Meme Lords out there aren’t nailing it with the visuals they are producing.
For instance this meme, And the Obamas influences in the awful movie “Leave the World Behind”.

Here's another take on the movie, although its incomplete:

I think they're pinning the main point being #21 from the thread reader link:
Anyway... at the very least this film is about the push for programming people. AI comms are tied into that

Part one of TheologyEds take on the movie looking at the symbolism and underlying themes. He has looked at a lot of movies and the symbolism hidden in them.

I also watched this movie two nights ago...This may be a nothing burger for most peeps here but some major clues were included in the movie. I think it is a movie made to allow people to ask questions to stop and think why Obama would produce such a movie. The destruction of GPS and other satellites and the instant impact it will have on Air transportation are good points. The good part may only be 20% but its worth watching. The Deep State does this for a reason not just for fearmongering. They will later say, we had it in a movie. IMO the racial comments may just be done to drive traffic to watch the movie.

My first impression was, that it was written by Artificial Intelligence: all the right ingredients, but no coherent storyline. All the suspense scenes piled up, like those Teslas, but make no sense. The cinematography made me feel dizzy and sick. If you seriously think Obama has anything to do with this movie ..... honestly. That fuckwith. Probably he can't even tie his shoes.
