What are you listening to?

Listening to Robin Williamson, who was part of the sublime, childlike, ingenious, experimental "Incredible String Band".

Very beautiful.

Listened to this and the others by De Hartmann yesterday while doing PR1. I agree Nancy, I loved it as did Poppy, he took a nap during its play. :flowers:

I found this that sounded wonderful especially during this time of year. Its by Narsilion called Winter Elven Dream.

I find the children's responses to Alizbar's music most enjoyable.

Beautiful song from french black metal band: Alcest

Souvenirs D'Un Autre Monde

https://youtu.be/4PmCb9OiFYQ[/embed]

English:
Where I come time does not exist,
the seconds become hours,
the years of short moments soon vanished
And our deceptive words are replaced
by music and colors
Who float like perfume in the air amber
'N' be afraid, now everything is finished
Break the chains of your mortal fears
to ever be released
and regain past peace.
Do not worry, it's all over now
let your tears flow for the last time
to ever be released
and join the world where you came from.
Thank you for this moment Gaby, lately I listened to the "Nutcracker". But I also listen Edward Grieg. It is the most famous of Norwegian composers, and he shows us in the work of "Peer Gynt", human morality. It is a poetic drama became theater of the Norwegian author Henrik Ibsen. It's a race to greed, to the glory of the ego, the pleasures of the senses and the flesh. This quest of desire leads us to knowledge of our ignorance. By understanding our ignorance, we find our home. This is in my opinion this work. This music and this story of Peer Gynt, really makes me think about work and spiritual evolution.
Here are 24 minutes of excerpts (Peer Gynt Suite 1 & 2 ..)

On this day 24 years ago we lost the greatest frontman ever to grace the stage. Pure charisma and showmanship. Bravo Freddie! R.I.P.

Musicians are absolutely our poets and without them we would be lost. "When a society is afraid of its poets, it is afraid of itself." Lenore Kandel. I love that quote and think it speaks volumes about the heroic nature of all artists.

I have been listening to Daniel Lanois's "Stillwater" a lot lately. It was recorded here in New Orleans. Beautiful, beautiful stuff.

Original Galician lyrics:

Vamos todos festejar
Com todos seres divinos
Com todos seres divinos, com amor
La no alto do astral
La no alto do astral

Estamos dando as mãos
Para todos os irmãos
Para todos os irmãos, com amor
Neste mundo e no outro
Neste mundo e no outro

Estamos agradecendo
Ao Sol à Lua, às Estrelas
Ao Sol à Lua, às Estrelas, com amor
Para iluminar o meu caminho
Para iluminar o meu caminho

Loose English translation:

Let's all celebrate
With all divine beings
With all divine beings with love
The high in the astral
The high in the astral

We are joining hands
For all brothers
To all the brothers, with love
In this world and the hereafter
In this world and the hereafter

we are thankful
The sun to the moon, the stars
The sun to the moon, the stars, with love
To illuminate my path
To illuminate my path
