Trump Elected: The True MAGA Era Begins, Now What?

Good summary of just that portion of the exchange I think:

Exactly. All is based on the narrative Putin will invade the world. Zelensky played this ultimate card, trying to manipulate Trump and so people in front of their TV that this will irremediably happen. I think Trump, above all, triggered to this manipulation attempt. The worst method to use with him. You might as well get in the ring with Mike Tyson.

On the form, Zelensky speaking over an other president, especially the US one, is just jaw dropping. He is not in control of himself.

Don't like agreeing with Pelosi, yet she had the right of it, although for the wrong reasons, yet naturally they would "be overjoyed" watching that show. Best of the Web today

My first thought watching was of Lavrov and Putin et cetera, laughing their heads off while trying to prevent themselves from spilling their coffee or tea - yes Pelosi, many were overjoyed as it seemed to me that Trump just baited the guy the whole way, and then gave him plenty of rope to hang himself - knowing where it all might lead. Z did not disappoint.

Earlier in the meeting, I could not believe it when Z spouted off about Putin the Murderer and Terrorist, and then, low and behold, turned to retrieve his photo prop envelop that cataloged padres and prisoners, and discussed the 20,00 stolen children while handing it to Trump, who flipped through them. Z really must think those in the room are stupid.

Perhaps dear Z has moved off coke for crack, as he simply cut his own throat - 'Officially'.
Yes, I also found it hard to believe what I heard from the mouth of "Z" about poor Ukrainian children allegedly taken by the Russians and starved. Tell me what a son of a bitch you have to be to say that to the President of the USA when his own wife runs a foundation that takes away Ukrainian children by force or for money and sells them to European pedophiles and organ sellers. This idiot Zelensky thinks that with a few photos of children he will put any pressure on the POTUS who has information straight from intelligence agencies what the Ukrainians are actually doing on the front. It is truly unbelievably impudent, even grotesque, to arrive at someone's house dressed like trash and order the host what to think, what to do and say what the guest wants. Not to mention the fact that Zelensky repeats the mantra about the terrorist Putin like a crazy doll who does not understand how the situation has changed dramatically in a month Is it a clinical example of a psychopath who doesn't learn anything, thinks he can fool everyone and doesn't understand the world around him, or is it a man who has been so damaged for years by "tons" of cocaine snorted into his nose and brain?

The Ukrainian ambassador Oksana Markarova, certainly realizing what was happening, was appalled during the exchange.

We can heard: "- I want to ceasefire because you get a ceasefire faster than a degree.
- Ask our people about ceasefire, what they think."

Here are Rubio and Bessent giving their commentary. Good messaging, IMO:

Dang, Rubio was excellent. He clearly knows more than he lets on, but he masterfully packaged it all in a way that nobody half-sane could possibly disagree.

And also while watching it I had a feeling that it wasn't planned by Trump at all. It

Agree, this whole thing wasn't scripted imo. It's just such a novelty to see anything "natural" or organic coming from Western politics and media that people are in complete shock and disbelief.

Was thinking that if the electorate in Ukraine held any sympathy for this guy, well, effectively its all gone now. Got a hunch that coup'ing Zelensky is on the table for the military now. This meeting was that bad.
Yeah, we just witnessed how Zelensky basically grabbed and threw himself under the bus. He has the same aura as Kamala, Biden, Hillary etc; the more he speaks publicly without a script the worse he ends up looking, and couldn't have chosen the worse place to demonstrate this. Sooner or later he will have to step down, and this episode definitely increased the odds that he may not get out alive to enjoy the stolen millions when the war finally ends.

What is also interesting is what he is lying about - the Russian "human waves" in attacks "just like in WW2", the supposed disregard by Russia for the life of its soldiers, the North Korean troops.

It looks like these may become the talking points to explain how Russia could basically defeat the collective West or all of NATO in Ukraine. Whether these transparent lies will stick is questionable though.

How could a realistic deal between Russia and the US (and possibly a new leader in Ukraine) look like now?

- Regardless of where exactly the new line will be drawn, I think it is very clear that crimea and the new territories will stay in Russia and Trump will recognize that too.

- NATO will not be allowed in the new smaller state of Ukraine and Trump will recognize that too.

- In regards to “peacekeepers“ of the Europeans inside that new state: I think the chances of bringing that into the deal on Trumps side is pretty low. Russia likely won’t negotiate there unless countries like Belarus and hungary might do the job or a third party, completely outside of that local geopolitical context, gets involved.

- Russia will want two key goals accomplished that were stated all along: 1: denazify that new Ukrainian state (aka: deprogramming that state by measures such as stopping propaganda and getting Nazis out of leading positions) and 2:
demilitarize that new state (aka: that that new state should be a buffer zone/neutral region)

- Both Trump and Putin want a realistic peace that can hold not just a couple of months but years into the future, even after another administration in the US takes over.

Now the question is probably how much Trump is willing to give to Russia in those points? It wouldn’t surprise me if Trump offers the Russians much more than anyone will suspect in regards to the points above. But even then, a lasting peace will get difficult if western europe and the US can still meddle in the new country and region itself. So it will be difficult. But Putin might have a number of backup plans, while welcoming, even a somewhat compromised effort/deal of Trump, because he is looking longer into the future.

I think the negotiations will either reach a stalemate in the coming weeks because the positions are still too far apart (especially demilitarization and denazification), or Ukraine will simply refuse to implement an agreement that goes too far in their view (especially demilitarization and denazification).

A real deal might only be reached once the Ukrainian defense breaks down completely and Russia's demands have to be accepted. Which can probably take another 6-12 months.

I say this without incurring the danger of defending Zelenski, except as a comedian ( I have no need to do this, he has always been to me a pain in the ass, and there are testimonies here as well). But I found this performance EXCELLENT. As for many others outside the maga bubble, this performance represents exactly what has been happening for EONS to the pawns of the US. The vance trump duo shamelessly, and with a face like an oscar ass, collaborated great. And the result is there to see. ah. Zelenski could have done better. But he has always been mediocre. Otherwise they wouldn't have chosen him. He remains a pawn. Enjoy the show :-)

Has anyone seen the TV series where Zelenski plays the President? He came to US on a defensive strategy and a one way tunnel vision. Very very rigid. I believe his behavior as well as the content delivered is heavily scripted.
