Do you really believe that Israel is incapable of defending itself? I have a little trouble believing that. What the Zionists did during the Nazi regime? They “gave” the Jews to the Nazis, only to have them taken to the death camps and finally have a Jewish state created after the war, after the world saw how millions of Jews were gassed to death. We all know the intimate relationship between the Zionists and Hitler. What are the Zionists doing now? Could they do the same thing? Show to the whole world how they are under attack, how vulnerable they are, how their country is in danger, how they need help to survive? Would the Zionists have the audacity to “give” the Jews who live in Israel, (the thieving settlers), the audacity to give cities and buildings as “gifts”, to victimize themselves again to achieve their goal, the destruction of Iran? Thus, they could continue toward a Greater Israel. With the help of others, the USA and the English again? And also, evidently, be the help for the USA and the British in the region.

Interesting take. John Mearsheimer sees the most likely possibility in that this continues on for a bit and then Israel goes to the United States begging for them to shut it down in a way that allows them to save face by saying that the US forced them to do it in an ugly ceasefire. Among other things he is saying, paraphrasing, that he always wants to be a peacemaker but sometimes you need a bit of force to achieve it while he says that American ground troops are out of the question and that they might not need to do something (meaning, really get involved in any official capacity?). And 2 weeks is to let people come to their senses. And also that he doesn’t believe that Israel can do it without US support. And that the intelligence community is wrong, and specifically Tulsi, about their assessment of what Iran has or is doing.

Does anyone ACTUALLY pay any attention to what Trump says anymore? As Joe has pointed out, Trumps' flip-flopping is almost pathological. Pay attention to the actions, not the words, and we see so many pieces are being moved into place that it would be a miracle if Trump and his tiny inner circle managed to dissuade the whole war-mongering Zionist Deep State to back off Iran after so many years of planning. Even that presupposes that Trump wants to resist the Zionists, which include the prominent voice of the Kushner family, Ivanka's family-in-law. On a personal level, would Trump, as a loving father, betray such an obviously political alliance?

I feel like it's hard to tell right now what's happening because there is so little trustworthy information coming out of Israel because of media blackout, and the extent of the damage, we just don't know. It will come out soon enough though.

There is something like a massive violation of free will imo, billions of people all over the world are hurting about Gaza and want it to stop. They may not show in the polls, but it's somehow palpable.

I trust what the C's have said about Israel's demise. It doesn't seem like Iran is alone in this either, I believe they will prevail. 2 weeks is long enough to make sure the cornered mad dog doesn't have the strength to lash out.

I am confident Iran anticipated US aggression in response to their sizeable retaliation and have resourced contingencies to the best of their abilities. Because Iran’s sizeable response seems to be the surprise to Israel and the US, any cessation of hostilities would provide more marginal utility to the Zionist side and not Iran’s. How about taking a middle way that half-contents everyone, i.e. a military operation only focused on taking full military control of the Strait of Hormuz and vicinity, letting only the ‘Arab allies’ oil tankers through, and waiting a few months for Iran to choke economically until it accepts your terms? And while you're at it, you shut off China's oil supply ...
