Canadian Orwellian world: Lockdowns, vaccines passports and more

This is as good an information as any.

Here is Moose on the Loose giving a good report on what is actually going on.

Shame on that government. Why aren't we up in arms about this??? It is not just about plants but also animals and future "foraging" which Nova Scotians (particularly Metis and Aboriginals) enjoy to do in the summer months.

Psychopaths have no imagination and repeat what other psychopaths have done in the past, since the same masters are running the scenario. And about dogs, during World War II, in Great Britain, the government almost forced to give away dogs and euthanize them almost out of humanity since no food for humans, no food for dogs. And people follow up this message, obediently, and almost a million dogs died like that. People when they obey out of fear are simply robots without conscience.

  • It was the government's official advice to animal owners given on August 26, 1939, which suggested that you send your pets to the countryside but if this was not possible "it might be kindest to have them destroyed". It was repeated on the BBC.

Many people took it seriously, rushing off with their pets to their vet or animal welfare charity or even in some cases abandoning them.

By the end of the first week of the war 750,000 pets had lost their lives not as a result of enemy action but at the hands of their owners.

So yes, these messages are messages that enter the brain, manipulate, erase your conscience. You become a blind puppet if you believe on lies. And that's the panorama in the past as in the present.

Where I'm located at the present, a rescue lady lives on my street. I've been looking after dogs now since meeting her and frankly, I'm astounded at the brazenness of what pet owners will do to not look after their dogs and cats (however cats are probably more self sufficient in many ways as they love to hunt critters of smaller size). The horror stories go on and on.

Despite programs in my area of giving away food for free from shelters, pet stores, businesses and even food banks, the issue is getting more and more problematic. This lady and her partners can't keep up. And the problem is not that people will euthanize their animals; they will abandon them without a second thought.
We have loads of wildlife around here that pray on puppies and cats for food. So abandoning a small pup will surely become their dinner at one point. For some people with that thought, I suppose it is right for them but for the puppy or little cat being abandoned, that is not what they wanted!

I agree with psychopath having no imagination at all. One size fits all train of thoughts for them. How ridiculous.

It could be so much better if we all strive to help each other. I agree to help this lady to the best of my ability because I believe there is a better way than believing so many lies and trying to make people understand that it can be different..... Is it a lost cause, do you think???? Don't know really. Those who do this the most are living in isolated areas up North where the mentality is that if you don't want a pet, leave them. And yet, they let them breed constantly until they become wild and can attack a child because of their constant hunger. Or better, give them foxtail weed where they die an agonizing death.

Personally, I don't understand this mentality. There are many "country" vets who will do the neutering/sterilization for free if you can't pay. Why can't this be address by Northern residents???? And yet, most of them are hunters, fisherman and trappers.

It begs to ask are they psychopaths too? Are have they just lost their ways living in a time where their values are conflicted with the values of the masses?

Meanwhile in Canada... Woke Dictatorship Strikes Back + Return of Religious Warfare
Woke Dictatorship Strikes Back

Hamm is the nurse who said sex is binary and also helped pay to put up a sign in Vancouver that declared, “I (heart) J K Rowling.” For these and similar crimes, Hamm has now been suspended from nursing for a month and ordered to pay the shocking and unjustified sum of $93,639.80 in legal costs.

With its punitive disciplinary decision, the college appears to be saying that you can either shut up or suffer what amounts to a $93,000 fine for exercising your right to free speech. t is a chilling ruling but one that is not surprising given the increasing number of self-important, bloated, authoritarian organizations and professional bodies in Canada that think the Charter right to free speech and free expression is a mere whimsy.

Here's the brainwashed counterpart of Holy CBC

A B.C. nurse has been suspended and asked to pay nearly $94,000 in costs for making "discriminatory and derogatory statements" about transgender people.(...)The panel said in its verdict in March that Hamm committed professional misconduct for making statements across "various online platforms" between July 2018 and March 2021 that were partly designed "to elicit fear, contempt and outrage against members of the transgender community."

From this one, you get a link to the legal document

Legal document in which certain information contained serve as a dire warning for anyone opposing Woke Dictatorship

The College tendered investigation reports containing over 300 pages of online statements into evidence. At the Panel’s request, the College subsequently identified the specific statements in issue in a separate binder (the “Extract”) which was also put into evidence.

Dr. Saewyc also referred to a 2021 guideline published by the Registered Nurses Association of Ontario entitled Promoting 2SLGBTQI+ Health Equity which outlines best practices based on systematic reviews of existing research. The 2021 guideline recommends that health providers “use 2SLGBTQI+ inclusive language and a personcentered history taking approach and ensure privacy and confidentiality during interactions with, all persons, to be inclusive of 2SLGBTQI+ people”

Some of the statements in the materials that were provided clearly challenge or deny the
concepts or general definitions of gender and gender identity, even though these concepts and definitions are provided in standard nursing textbooks and professional literature. Other statements also discount the expressed identity of transgender people, especially transgender women, claiming they are not female, therefore they cannot be women, women cannot have penises, therefore they are men. Additional statements claim that providing gender-affirming care to transgender people and recognizing their gender identity harms the sex-based rights of women and children. (...) publicly denying someone’s asserted gender identity or pronouns challenges their very existence as a trans person. In my opinion, most transgender people, upon hearing the statement that their gender identity is not real, and they should only be recognized as the sex they were assigned at birth, would feel that statement disrespects them and undermines their dignity. When such statements are made by a registered nurse, and that nurse further asserts that policies and practices that support transgender people’s gender identity actually harm the rights of cisgender women and children, I think most transgender people would see the nurse as representing the nursing profession and health care, and interpret those statements to be a position of the nursing profession, or held by most nurses. If this is the perception, transgender people may reasonably fear discrimination and negative treatment in health care settings where the nurse is practicing, or health care settings overall.

Return of Religious Warfare

For several months, fundamentalist Muslims have been regularly praying in front of Montreal's Notre-Dame Basilica. For Mandana Javan, a secular activist, this is clearly a political provocative strategy.

"The primary goal is to create interreligious conflict," says the physicist by training. According to her, these prayers are part of a "symbolic conflict," meaning that Islamism is seeking to oppose Quebec's Christian and Western heritage. A climate that, she says, fuels the silent anger of many citizens. "I see a lot of anger, but a lot of restraint because people are afraid. Quebecers are afraid to express themselves, they are afraid of being labeled racist, xenophobic, and Islamophobic," she continues to Jérôme Blanchet-Gravel.

From Iran to Quebec
Ms. Javan, born in Iran shortly after the Islamic Revolution, recalls experiencing this fanaticism firsthand: "I grew up in a country that had implemented the entire structure of re-Islamization of society. It was stifling. I chose Quebec to live in a free and secular society."

God forbid that the Western MSM miss the opportunity to demonize Iran.

There is a difference between mainstream media demonizing Iran and firsthand testimonies of people fleeing that country because of what happened to it. Do you at least know what this Ms. Javan is talking about? It's this:

The post-1979 re-Islamization following the Islamic Revolution established a theocratic state under Ayatollah Khomeini's ideology, but has been met with cultural and societal resistance, leading to significant secular shifts in the population.

The 1979 revolution overthrew the monarchy and established the Islamic Republic of Iran, a theocratic state.
The new government, led by Ayatollah Khomeini, created a constitution based on the principle of Wilayat al-Faqih (Guardianship of the Islamic Jurist).
The new regime enforced conservative social values, including mandatory hijab, and began purging non-Islamist and less radical Islamist groups. The re-Islamization of the legal system often clashed with contemporary society, leading to tension between religious institutions and the parliament.

There is also the movie Not Without My Daughter, which will give you a pretty good idea of what type of things you'll have to face as a woman if you dare go there.

How much of that is really true and how much is Western propaganda?
I assume you're familiar with what preceded the events of deposing the shah and Iranian revolution.

The passage I referred to in my reply was put at the end of the article, psychologically leaving stronger imprint on the readers than the rest of it, and was not really in direct relation to it, pointing to propaganda. Taking into account that the passage served the purpose for more or less providing credentials to Ms. Javan and solidifying what was basically her personal opinion into kind of an expert view what's behind of a simple act of Muslims praying in front of a cathedral, and that the whole text after stating this fact revolved around this person's opinion, all together point that it's propaganda piece stirring further divisions and animosities among people, of different religions in this case.

In reality, the article did not provide anything useful for the readers except the information in its first sentence, and in no way did it justify such a pretentious and sensational headline. Having a person who left Iran paint the praying event in such rather negative light, and linking that at the end to her experience that allegedly made her come there on her persuit for freedom, it all pointed in the direction of propaganda and demonizing Iran even to the extent of associating it with a fictive "return of religious warfare".

BTW, why such a strong emotional reaction to my oneliner 'sarcastic' comment and sort of turning it into a bit of a personal scolding with "do you at least know what she's talking about"?

P.S. Wonder why the article haven't stated that the Muslims were praying there for Palestinians for example, trying to plea on their Christian neighbours to make a pressure on their governments complicit in the genocide Israelis are commiting?
Again, kind of a 'sarcastic' comment.

Libre Media is neither mainstream media nor propaganda: It is a group of journalists with integrity who were sick of mainstream state-funded media that brainwashes the Canadian population.

Let's not be naïve: fundamentalist Muslims have no business parking themselves in front of a Christian Montreal Cathedral for public prayers, no matter what their intent is. They may look harmless, but they aren't. Some groups have already tried to install the Sharia in Canada...

There is a 45 min video interview, but it's in French. Maybe that's why the article is so short.
I really don't see what you are talking about regarding a "pretentious and sensational headline". It's not.

I'm not sure how you read I'm having an emotional reaction. I simply found your comment did not align with reality, and that you are diminishing the suffering of millions of people who had to go through this draconian Islamisation and totalitarian imposition of the Sharia at all levels of their lives.

And no, it's not just Western propaganda: I have met 2 Iranian brothers who barely escaped alive with their father. They were sentenced to death just because they were Christians.

Wonder why the article haven't stated that the Muslims were praying there for Palestinians for example, trying to plea on their Christian neighbours to make a pressure on their governments complicit in the genocide Israelis are commiting?
If those Muslims want to plead to the government, why antagonise Christian people and ask them to be the messenger in their stead? They logically should go park themselves to pray in front of the Quebec parliament for the provincial government, and Ottawa's parliament for the Federal government. They could also park themselves in front of the Jews' churches since Israel is mostly Jewish. Both scenarios would make more sense.

OK, I see.
Thank you for additional information and explanation, while bringing my outsider perspective closer to truth and reality on the ground. :flowers:

Regarding "praying" in front of the parliament or synagogues as a demonstration of support for Palestinians and of protest against the genocide Israelis have been commiting, how is that "viewed" by Canadian authorities, that is would those actions be treated as a display of antisemitism and people protesting harrased or even arrested like in some other Western countries?

A Gen X woman vents about how suppressive the political climate has been in Canada, and how a whole generation of people who were raised in the most anti-racist culture imaginable find themselves living in a deteriorating country they increasingly feel persecuted for speaking out against. I think she speaks for a lot of us, who feel like our home is being taken from us. We can respect other races and cultures while saying our own should not be erased for the sake of progressive pieties.

This is a recent interview of a Canadian-born Punjabi trucker who rants about the exploitation of underqualified third world labour in destroying the trucking industry of the country, and how he himself is growing more concerned about racial discrimination and backlash against him in his capacity as a trucker as a result of irresponsible industry-wide practices and management.

Expanded auditing powers are being proposed for the Canada Revenue Agency, under the auspices of "efficiency." Increased penalties and fines, the power to levy perjury charges for bureaucratic errors, greater digital centralization, shorter mandatory response turnaround times and reduced procedural safeguards for citizens.

This gives a more detailed breakdown of the powers:

Due to the lack of clarity around how the CRA’s new enforcement powers will be used, the seriousness of the potential consequences for taxpayers, and the absence of safeguards to protect taxpayers’ rights, the amendments could negatively impact the efficiency of the audit process by making it more adversarial.

If enacted, the following four changes will bring significant adverse consequences to taxpayers who do not respond to audit requirements to the satisfaction of the Canada Revenue Agency (“CRA”):

(i) the CRA’s new power to require that questions be answered or documents be provided under oath or affidavit (proposed section 231.41);

(ii) the CRA’s new power to unilaterally issue a notice of non-compliance, which carries with it significant penalties (proposed section 231.9);

(iii) the imposition of an automatic penalty when a compliance order is issued (proposed subsection 231.7(6)); and

(iv) the suspension of the “normal reassessment period” in an extremely broad range of circumstances during the audit (proposed section 231.8).

OK, I see.

I have no idea how it would be seen or how the government would answer. But one thing is for sure, the government would tread carefully, because minorities in Canada are treated differently than the general population (the ones labeled as white supremacist). At the moment, they seem to be free to do as they wish.

That's bad, like real bad...
To give you an idea, there was this case in Quebec (Revenu Quebec, so provincial level), something like 20 years ago, where a lazy accountant working at Revenu Quebec offices made a mistake in the file of a businessman (just some random dude who had started a company, worked really hard all his life, and his company was worth a couple million). Well, this mistake caused the dude endless legal battles and to lose everything. After the harm was done, it was found out about the accountant's mistake, who got fired, but kept offering accounting services as a private CA with as bad quality services as could be. This was published in the newspaper, and I found it when looking online for the accountant's name.

A solid conversation with WEF whistleblower Desiree Fixler. (46:10. Watch at a faster speed.)

A slightly re-edited section starting at 22:25.
Ryan Davies: I don't know like maybe you can answer that question like what what is it? I don't understand.

Desiree Fixler: I struggle to understand it myself, but having been at all of these World Economic Forum meetings and working with Mark Carney's team and I just found them, they're all technocrats. They all operate almost in a robotic manner where they have their speaking notes and they have their expert research reports, and very little critical thinking and very little interaction with ordinary folks... . It's like here in the UK, you know, no matter how much ‘Red Ed’ - Ed Milliband in charge of, like, he's our 'net zero tsar' here - tells us that electricity prices are coming down, he's going to save every family 300 pounds. Well, guess what? Labor's been in over one year and electricity prices keep going up. They're not going down.

And that's the disconnect when, you know, when I work with or when I used to work with Carney's team, and others, is they're just totally detached from the plight of of ordinary people and they're married to this scripture that the number one risk in the world is climate catastrophe. And it doesn't matter how many times you sit there and say, "Yes, there's climate change, but there is no climate emergency. That is that is made up. That is fear-mongering.” Right? And that that is the reason. That's the best way I can explain it, that these folks are married to this belief that they're doing the right thing, they have moral superiority, they have to protect - it’s a very condescending approach, it’s very arrogant - they have to protect people because people don't know, right? But they do because they have the McKenzie report or the Boston Consulting Group report that says something, not understanding, right? You know, that's a vested interest group. They're writing that so there's more regulation, they get, you know, more fees. But that’s the best way I can explain it where it's this stubborn managerial approach to things. Everything is about process, process over outcomes. It's the process, right?

And so you can just talk about, you frame issues, you talk about your intentions, your aspirations, but never the actions and the outcomes. Right? And you'll always blame the problems, because the problems aren't going to go away, on your predecessor, you know? Or you blame it on, like today, just blame it on President Trump. It's Trump's fault.

Ryan: Or you blame it on the little people, right? The little people that you're trying to save. Well, if they would just listen, then all of their problems would go away. And do you think, do you think that all of these people, and this would be I think the scariest part to me, do you think they actually believe that they are the saviours of humanity? Because this is the way that they seem to operate, to your point, is that they have all of the knowledge, they have all of the expertise and they will tell society what to do because they don't know any better and they're just uneducated little peons and they need us to be able to move them along. It's almost as if they consider themselves, you know, supreme beings or gods over society. Do you think they actually believe that?

Desiree:
I think some of them do and I think some of them see the grift, like, they see it, they see right through it, but they're not going to speak up because they're making so much money. In addition, they're in a supreme position of power, so they're not going to give that up. Most people that I speak to on “net zero” complain, complain that it was a marketing gimmick. The intention of “net zero”, which, you know, the big drive came out in 2020, was to drive down carbon emissions. Now aside from the economic disaster it’s caused globally, it hasn't even accomplished its original task to drive down carbon emissions. Carbon emissions are going up. I would say a lot of the people know that these policies have failed but there's so much paranoia in the room they don't want to lose their jobs. So you have to tow the party line stick to the script. You don't speak up. And, you know, for a lot of people they'll say like, “Oh, well, this first approach to ‘net zero’ hasn’t worked. So we're going to come up with with a better plan, a better transition plan.” And again, there is now they have more process, more regulation. Right? The consultants, the lawyers, the bankers, it’s another feeding frenzy of restructuring policy as opposed to just saying, “You consultants get out of the room. It’s pretty simple. Let's start with scrapping C-69, and let's not have a consensus approach. …”
