Accused Sex Trafficker Jeffrey Epstein Asks to Be Freed on Bail

Accused child sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein asked a federal judge to free him ahead of his trial, offering to put up his Manhattan mansion as security, ground his private jet and pay for 24-hour armed guards.

In a 16-page court filing Thursday, lawyers for the 66-year-old fund manager outlined a series of “highly restrictive conditions” that would ensure he doesn’t flee, following his arrest Saturday on charges of sex trafficking and conspiracy.

Under Epstein’s proposal, he would be freed from the Manhattan jail where he’s being held on a “substantial bond” secured by the mansion, which has been valued in the tens of millions of dollars. He also offered to wear a GPS ankle bracelet and be confined to his home.

A release on bail would make it easier for Epstein to coordinate his defense and give him a measure of leverage in negotiating a possible guilty plea with the government. Likewise, his continued detention would give prosecutors a strategic advantage.

Epstein was accused Monday of abusing dozens of girls as young as 14 and has been confined since Saturday night, when he was arrested on returning to New York from Paris in his private jet.

He is being held in the Metropolitan Correctional Center in lower Manhattan, the same high-security facility where Paul Manafort, President Donald Trump’s former campaign chief, is detained while he faces state fraud charges. The Mexican drug lord Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman is there as well.

“The indictment does not allege that Epstein committed any crime in the 14-year interval between the end of the alleged conduct and the initiation of this case,” his lawyers wrote in the filing, referring to a “spotless” record.

In addition, Epstein has “potent legal defenses” to the sex-trafficking charge, they told U.S. District Judge Richard Berman in New York. “The principal conduct underlying the indictment is Mr. Epstein’s payment of money for massages that purportedly escalated to alleged sex acts. Mr. Epstein’s conduct, however, is akin to consumer or purchaser behavior” and shouldn’t be prosecuted under the trafficking law, the lawyers wrote.

Under Epstein’s proposed bail package, the defendant would also consent to extradition from other countries. A “trustee” would be appointed to live in the mansion and report any violations of the bail requirements. Epstein’s brother and a friend would guarantee the bond.

“Mr. Epstein stands ready and willing to pay for 24-hour armed guards should the court deem it necessary or appropriate,” Epstein’s lawyers said.

The lawyers acknowledged that in 2016 Berman rejected a similar request by Turkish-Iranian gold trader Reza Zarrab, saying it would “foster inequality and unequal treatment in favor of a very small cohort of criminal defendants who are extremely wealthy.”

Still, they noted that such proposals had been granted in other cases and suggested the arrangement “as a fallback, asking the court to revisit its propriety despite the reservations expressed in Zarrab.”

Among the wealthy defendants granted such conditions of release are Ponzi schemer Bernard Madoff; Dominique Strauss-Kahn, former head of the International Monetary Fund, who was accused of sexual assault; and Marc Dreier, the New York law firm founder who was charged in a $400 million fraud.

Prosecutors later dropped charges against Strauss-Kahn. Madoff and Dreier pleaded guilty and are serving long sentences.

What Epstein Did and How He Did It, According to the Government

Prosecutors argued Monday that Epstein, who could spend the rest of his life behind bars if convicted, has the motive and means to flee. In a court filing, they cited the mansion on East 71st Street, two residences in the U.S. Virgin Islands -- one on his own private island -- and homes in Paris, New Mexico and Palm Beach, Florida. They listed 15 cars, including a Range Rover and a Mercedes-Benz.

They also argued that Epstein is a danger to the public, telling the court that federal agents found a “vast trove of lewd photographs” in a search of his New York home at the time of his arrest. Some were found in a safe along with compact discs with labels including “Girl pics nude,” they said.

In an earlier investigation in Florida, Epstein intimidated several witnesses or their relatives, with his private investigator forcing the father of one figure off the road, the U.S. said. That probe was resolved in a 2007 non-prosecution agreement with the federal government and a state-court guilty plea to soliciting prostitution.

The agreement has long been under fire as inadequate. Epstein served 13 months in jail, from which he was released most days to ply his trade in high finance.

“The defendant, a registered sex offender, is not reformed, he is not chastened, he is not repentant,” the U.S. argued. “Rather, he is a continuing danger to the community and an individual who faces devastating evidence supporting deeply serious charges.”

Prosecutors have until Friday at 5 p.m. in New York to respond to Epstein’s arguments and bail request. Berman will hold a bail hearing on Monday.

The case is U.S. v. Epstein, 19-cr-00490, U.S. District Court, Southern District of New York (Manhattan).

Jeffrey Epstein's wealth has long been a topic of discussion since becoming known as a 'billionaire pedophile' and other similar monickers. Described by prosecuitors this week as a "man of nearly infinite means," a 2011 SEC filing has provided a window into the registered sex offender's elite Wall Street links, according to the Financial Times.

Epstein, who caught a lucky break tutoring the son of Bear Stearns chairman Alan Greenberg before joining the firm, left the investment bank in 1981 to set up his own financial firm. While he reportedly managed money for billionaires for decades, most of Epstein's dealings have been done in the shadows.

A 2011 SEC filing reveals that Epstein's privately held firm, the Financial Trust Company, took a 6.1% stake in Pennsylvania-based catalytic converter maker Environmental Solutions Worldwide (ESW) backed by Leon Black, the billionaire founder of Apollo Global Management.

ESW itself has a checkered past. In 2002, its then-chairman Bengt Odner was accused by the SEC of participating with others in a $15 million "pump and dump" scheme with ESW stock. The case was settled a year later according to FT, with Odner ordered to pay a $25,000 civil penalty. Of note, ESW accepted Epstein's investment several years after he had registered as a sex offender in a controversial 2008 plea deal in Florida.

Epstein's connection to Black doesn't stop there - as the financier served as a director on the Leon Black Family Foundation for over a decade until 2012 according to IRS filings. A spokeswoman for the foundation claims that Epstein had resigned in July 2007, and that his name continued to appear on the IRS filings "due to a recording error" for five years. A 2015 document signed by Epstein provided to the Financial Times appears to confirm this.

Epstein also built his wealth with Steven J. Hoffenberg and Leslie H. Wexner, the former of whom was convicted of running a giant Ponzi scheme, and the latter a clothing magnate.

"I think we both possess the skill of seeing patterns," Wexner told Vanity Fair in 2003. "But Jeffrey sees patterns in politics and financial markets, and I see patterns in lifestyle and fashion trends."

Those around Wexner were mystified over Wexner's affinity for Epstein.

"Everyone was mystified as to what his appeal was," said Robert Morosky, a former vice chairman of The Limited. "I checked around and found out he was a private high school math teacher, and that was all I could find out. There was just nothing there."

As the New York Times noted on Wednesday, Epstein's "infinite means" may be a mirage, as while he is undoubtedly extremely rich, there is "little evidence that Mr. Epstein is a billionaire."

While Epstein told potential clients he only accepted investments of $1 billion or more, his investment firm reported having $88 million in capital from his shareholders, and 20 employees according to a 2002 court filing - far fewer than figures being reported at the time.

Epstein was hit hard by the financial crisis a decade ago, while allegations of sexual abuse of teenage girls caused many associates - such as Wexner - to sever ties with him.
Bear Stearns — the bank that had given Mr. Epstein his start — was still among his investments when the crisis hit. According to a lawsuit he later filed against the bank, Mr. Epstein controlled about 176,000 shares of Bear Stearns, worth nearly $18 million, in August 2007.
Mr. Epstein sold 56,000 shares at $101 each that month. He sold the remaining 120,000 shares in March 2008 as the firm was collapsing — 20,000 at $35 and the rest at $3.04, losing big. He also lost about $50 million in one of Bear’s hedge funds.
By the time Bear Stearns came apart, Mr. Epstein was at the center of his first abuse case. He pleaded guilty to prostitution charges in 2008, receiving a jail sentence that allowed him to work at home during the day but also required him to register as a sex offender. -New York Times
In trying to determine what Epstein is actually worth, Bloomberg notes that "So little is known about Epstein’s current business or clients that the only things that can be valued with any certainty are his properties. The Manhattan mansion is estimated to be worth at least $77 million, according to a federal document submitted in advance of his bail hearing."
He also has properties in New Mexico, Paris and the U.S. Virgin Islands, where he has a private island, and a Palm Beach estate with an assessed value of more than $12 million. He shuttles between them by private jet and has at least 15 cars, including seven Chevrolet Suburbans, according to federal authorities. -Bloomberg
Deutsche Bank, meanwhile, severed ties with Epstein earlier this year - right as federal prosecutors were preparing to charge him with operating a sex-trafficking ring of underage girls out of his sprawling homes in Manhattan and Palm Beach, according to Bloomberg, citing a person familiar with the situation. It is unknown how much money was involved or how long Epstein had been a client.

Tweeter Back up:

I think Trump is driving Epstein's prosecution, and what he wants is his reelection next year. I don't think he cares whether one or both of the Clintons eventually go to prison in the process. He just wants to win.

I was thinking the same. Insiders now want to bring out the Political Guns. They wanna end multiple careers. Probably they studied Epstein's pedophile lists and found some names they want to get rid of. Thus: Publication of Epstein's filth becomes useful suddenly!

Trump hasn't said much recently regarding Epstein, and has made no tweets about it, so far. However, in this recent video he do say 'the rest of it we have to look at very carefully' in relation to Acosta back when handling the Epstein case. Did he imply more with saying that? He also says he wasn't a fan of Epstein and hasn't talked with him for maybe 15 years. The playtime will start where he speaks about this automatically to save time.

Trump tweeted the following back in 2002. Notice he wrote 'women' and not 'girls', which I think means he honestly didn't know then Epstein was a pedophile at the time.

Then, quoted from 'The Clintons' War on Women', this little item says:

So that would fit in with Trump saying he hasn't spoken with Epstein for 15 years, and that he obviously became aware of Epstein being a pedophile when that investigation either started or took place.

In February 2015 he had this to say on the matter involving Bill Clinton.

I guess we just have to wait for further data but I hope Trump will do whatever he can to put all the pedophiles of any kind and place into prison.

Just thought I'd make this little brief synopsis.

Alexander Acosta Out As Labor Secretary Over Cushy Jeffrey Epstein Plea Deal

Alexander Acosta is out as labor secretary, President Donald Trump told reporters Friday.

His resignation followed a wave of new information about the alleged crimes of accused child sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein, for whom Acosta helped broker a sweetheart plea deal more than a decade ago.

Trump said it was Acosta’s decision to step down. The president signaled his support for the labor secretary earlier this week, telling reporters he felt “very badly” for him “because I’ve known him as being somebody that works so hard and has done such a good job.”

“I feel very badly about that whole situation. But we’re going to be looking at that and looking at it very closely,” Trump said.

This photo shows the Manhattan residence of Jeffrey Epstein, Monday July 8, 2019, in New York. Prosecutors said Monday, federal agents investigating wealthy sex offender Jeffrey Epstein found "nude photographs of what appeared to be underage girls" while searching his Manhattan mansion.
The extravagant home of financier and sex offender Jeffrey Epstein reportedly contains a plethora of odd and disturbing art pieces, including a collection of prosthetic eyeballs and a painting of Epstein in a prison yard. Epstein has been arrested on charges of sex trafficking, and authorities have found a collection of pornography believed to contain images of children stored inside his New York estate.

Over the years, the opulent Manhattan home of Jeffrey Epstein, the financier at the center of a still-unfolding sex-trafficking scandal, has transformed from an unoccupied private residence to a K-12 school, and finally to an alleged house of horrors.

The Upper East Side home, essentially gifted to Epstein by wealthy retail magnate Leslie Wexner, stands seven stories tall and is considered one of the largest townhomes in New York City. It's estimated to be valued around $56 million. Epstein, who has flitted between his Manhattan home and residences in Paris, Palm Beach, Florida, and New Mexico, is accused of abusing a number of girls across his properties.

A recent indictment filed in the Southern District of New York outlined a system of recruitment, coercion and — ultimately — sexual abuse and rape that Epstein developed to lure young women and girls into his orbit. The document centers on Epstein's alleged conduct in New York and Palm Beach.

Epstein's home on 9 E. 71st St. is adorned with massive front doors that dwarf those of his neighbors. Inside, his penchant for strange, and often disturbing, design only becomes more obvious. During a raid conducted by the FBI and NYPD after Epstein's arrest, authorities said they found in a locked safe a trove of pornographic material featuring apparently underage girls.

The decor chosen by Epstein is markedly different from that of Wexner, founder of The Limited and Victoria's Secret. Wexner, upon purchasing the home in 1989 for around $13 million, filled it with millions of dollars worth of art. He adorned the walls with the works of Picasso and counters with priceless Russian antiques, according to The New York Times.

Epstein, to be sure, commissioned artwork for the home. Specifically, he had a massive, photorealistic mural of a prison yard painted, with Epstein in the center. According to R. Couri Hay and The New York Times, Epstein had the mural commissioned because "there is always a possibility that could be me again."

Public records show that the home was officially transferred to Maple, Inc., an LLC controlled by Epstein, for no money in 2011. Ericka Kellerhals, the lawyer who handled the transfer, didn't return multiple requests for comment from Fox News.

Other oddities of the home have come to light in the wake of Epstein's arrest and incarceration.

According to an article in New York magazine, Epstein has a heated sidewalk, a hallway adorned with dozens of individually framed prosthetic eyeballs from England, a massive, life-like human doll hanging from a chandelier and a human-sized chessboard with scantily clad figurines modeled after his employees.

In a recent interview with NBC News, Jennifer Araoz said she was abused and raped by Epstein when she was just 15 years old.

"He had a bathtub that was kind of like opened, and there was prosthetic breasts that he could play with while he was taking a bath, I guess," Araoz said in the interview.

She also said Epstein adorned his massage room with photos of naked women, including one that hung directly next to the table Araoz was forced to massage him on.

"He used to always say that I looked like her," Araoz said.

In the 1st half I go over Epstein's Foundation and its investments into genomics and mapping the brain for AI. Next I look at Robert Maxwell - father of Ghislaine Maxwell - who allegedly partnered with Epstein in business. What are the other Maxwell children up to now? All of this is viewed through the lens of medical ethics and the cultural subversion that happened in the US starting right before the breakout of the second world war.

With this obvious attempt to clean the slate in regards to the Clintons it couldn't be more obvious that they have some serious stuff to hide and that Wikipedia and Co. are complicit in covering it up. According to sources, Google has also wiped images of Clinton and Epstein together. When one Googles Epstein Clinton, you get some Trump and Epstein photos and stories. There's 900 photos of Epstein now missing from the Google search since last Saturday's arrest. The source given to me was from an "Anon" from 8Chan so take it for what its worth on that score. I can link it if anyone is interested, but the *Channers are most likely Q psyops so I'm not sure about the validity. Yet it wouldn't surprise me to know that Google is trying to change historical research to bring down Trump. Google is DS as it comes.

Trump - who has not had any dealings with Epstein for over 15 years, threw Epstein out of Mar a Lago for hitting on the teen daughter of an employee, and has never been to Epstein's Island, unlike Billy Clinton, is being linked to Epstein via the MSM. Guilt by association.

Shortly before the 2016 election, the DS/Clinton cabal failed to prove Trump allegedly raped a woman when she was 13-years-old at Epstein's house in NYC. The woman backed out before the election, said her claim was false, and has not been heard of since. The DS is trying to Kill the King by linking him to Epstein. These operators have zip creativity. Same old. But who knows? Maybe it will stick in the minds of the public enough to affect the 2020 election.

Rumors swirling that one of Epstein's underage prostitutes has provided damaging information on Epstein's friends and accomplices!

The Internet is on fire! Rumors are swirling that a girl who was once an underage prostitute for Jeffrey Epstein is now a government informant who is outing Epstein's sick friends and accomplices. Yes, this includes Bill Clinton.

(In the cover picture above, a young Rachel Chandler is reportedly on one of Jeffrey Epstein's flights with former President Bill Clinton.)

A girl by the name of Rachel Chandler is suspected of being a witness to Jeffrey Epstein's crimes on his "Orgy Island" with this sick friends. The young lady may have devastating information that has been handed over to the government.

The story goes that the young Chandler was recruited by Jeffrey Epstein's friend or madam as some refer to her, Ghislaine Maxwell. Maxwell supposedly recruited young girls who then flew on Epstein's airplanes with the rich and famous who in turn used and abused these young women.

Maxwell is reportedly in the background in the picture below with a young Ms. Virginia Roberts and UK's Prince Andrew -

Chandler and Roberts were both reportedly young under age women recruited by Jeffrey Epstein to prostitute themselves for Epstein's rich and famous friends.

Chandler has shared pictures of herself with many celebrities and politicians.

No doubt there is a lot of evidence tying Ms. Chandler to Epstein and the rich and famous. If she is a witness for the government, Epstein, Clinton and others may be in a lot of trouble!

This is just a peek into the world of power and control seeded by greed. I do not think the entire story will be told. For instance, one of the former governors of the Virgin Islands of the U.S. wife was Epstein's Executive Assistant. This was while he was serving 2 terms as Governor. While she was in this position, one of our girls high school volleyball teams won the regional championship. Their reward was a visit to Pedophile Island. When the parents heard this, they near lost their minds. Due to public outrage the trip was cancelled.

John de Jongh's election/selection was highly questionable. Then again our elections/selections have not been under our control. Always influenced and shaped by the will of those who benefit. The Virgin Islands of the U.S. is one on the most corrupt places on the planet. Most of the people here aren't corrupt, but the culture of government corruption brings suffering to its people. Even when brought to the attention of our administrators, a blind eye is turned. We are the laundrymat for our administrators.
