Fukushima-Fuel Rod Removal starts November..Danger!

This is not being reported in many places but could become an extremely critical period for this plant and for the people who live in Japan, along with the danger of it affecting the earth worldwide if something goes seriously wrong, which their is a high risk it could.

132 fuel rods transferred as of 12-24-2013. The hot fuel rods are moved to a common spent fuel pool. Steam events are becoming more frequent in the area of the common spent fuel pool at the plant just left of the base of the white cooling tower in the middle of the picture.

SFP4 fuel removal is the easy one compared to SFPs 1 thru 3 that are too hot to access. The entire site is sinking and contaminated ground water keeps rising threatening the buildings foundations. So much water onsite Tepco threatens to dump tritium/strontium contaminated water into the Ocean. The real fear is what happens if the site becomes to radioactive for workers to maintain cooling of all the hot fuel in those pools.

Since this event, activity at the plant seems to have slowed. The cranes were laid down to the ground and don't move around during the day. The TBS cam was down all of 12-28. A zoom in on the tower shows dark emissions not just steam in the event.

"NEWS FLASH - URGENT - December 28, 2013 11:00 PM EST -- (TRN http://www.TurnerRadioNetwork.com ) -- Persons residing on the west coast of North America should IMMEDIATELY begin preparing for another possible onslaught of dangerous atmospheric radiation from the Fukushima nuclear disaster site in Japan. The Tokyo Electric Power Company (TEPCO) says radioactive steam has suddenly begun emanating from previously exploded nuclear reactor building #3 at the Fukuishima disaster site in Japan. TEPCO says they do not know why this is happening and cannot go into the building to see what's happening due to damage and lethal radiation levels in that building. Experts say this could be the beginning of a "spent fuel pool criticality (meltdown)" involving up to 89 TONS of nuclear fuel burning up into the atmosphere and heading to North America. So even if the Turner News Flash gets discredited for a dated picture or the wrong spent fuel pool, there is still evidence that has been gathered of the smoke events occurring at the site on those days. The TBS/TNN camera is still offline. The Tepco cam is still online but won't provide as good a view of the area of interest. People are watching Tepco and they know it.
 
Tepco cam video captured by Wotcha showed the steam event on 12-24. The smoke/steam comes across the cooling tower from the left. The remains of R3 and it’s sfp are on the right of the cooling tower in the Tepco view. The video I captured on TBS shows the smoke/steam drifting in front of the cooling tower, in front of the R3 area. The zoom done by nuckelchen shows the darkness of the emissions, not just clean white steam. See the videos at:

The smoke/steam seems to come more from the common sfp area rather than the R3 area. Tepco and media whores keep pointing to R3 so no one will notice the recovered fuel is still very hot when put in the common pool. They closed early for the new year to let the pool cool down some. It is certainly possible that emissions are coming from the other broken reactors but let us not get too distracted. The problem is the emissions keep elevating radiation levels for those downwind.

None of us can hold our breathe long enough. No one can stop eating. The only position we are in now is downwind of deadly radiation. No way to control the nuclear genie, so the message is controlled to avoid panic. I've been panicky for almost three years now. Concerned citizens have educated themselves, but most citizens don't even know there is still a problem at Fuku that is only getting worse as rad levels continue to rise in the ocean and in the air. Steam or smoke, common sfp or R3, next week it will be leaking tanks or controlled releases. The elevated radiation levels downwind can be seen at Radcast.

Someone's found TEPCO film of steam coming from R3 ruble pile.
The "Steam-like Gas Found Near the Central Part of the Fifth Floor (Equipment Storage Pool Side) of Unit 3 Reactor Building" This is from July 2013 and gives the widest shot of the available videos:

So we have both steam-like gas as well as the smoke events. Admit to a well known problem to distract from other problems.
 
I wonder if Tepco and their govt buddies are really hoping for continued explosions that will create a sinkhole to bury the whole plant and their problems along with it? Then call it a nature preserve and call it 'case closed'? Of course, it could just be neglect, but that would be a wee bit too optimistic don't you think? Of course the Yakuza probably hope it never ends, but they are probably a little more realistic than their friends at Tepco and the govt. and most likely know that all 'good' things must come to an end.... just a question of how and when.
 
Wishful thinking will be their undoing, taking us with them. The ruble pile steams, subcritical. A core fragment radiating intense heat burrowing into saturated soil may build up gases and release explosively, a radioactive steam volcano. Subsidence has already occurred on the site. Water contamination which will eventually end up in the Ocean. Unable to stop the contamination constantly being released on land or to sea. All their money won't be able to find clean food to buy. The slower the releases the better for all of us...
