This resource has been extracted from our Reading Workshop discussion on Laura Knight-Jadczyk's The Secret History of the World and How to Get Out Alive.
Laura Knight-Jadczyk’s The Secret History of the World is a fascinating book that argues human history, religion, and even our perception of reality has been systematically distorted by hidden forces (hyperdimensional 4D STS or The Matrix Control system). It is only by uncovering an underlying esoteric “meta-history” can individuals truly awaken and avoid spiritual catastrophe. Drawing on a vast range of material- ancient myths, Grail legends, alchemy, Gnosticism, channeled sessions, alternative archaeology, and unconventional physics, Laura proposes that our world is embedded in a larger cosmic drama involving different densities or levels of reality and competing intelligences, some benevolent and some predatory, which manipulate human beliefs and events behind the scenes.
Laura presents the idea that what we call mainstream history is essentially a façade, constructed to keep humanity ignorant of an ancient techno‑spiritual tradition from a lost Golden Age, in which adepts possessed a mastery of space, time, and consciousness symbolised by motifs like the Holy Grail, the Philosopher’s Stone, and true Ascension. She suggests that many religious and philosophical systems are partial, corrupted echoes of this older knowledge (disjecta membra) and that apocalyptic myths, prophetic traditions, and cyclical-cataclysm theories all point to recurring macro‑cosmic “quantum shifts” where the entire planetary environment and human consciousness undergo abrupt transitions.
The “how to get out alive” aspect of the book is not about physical survival tips but about cultivating discernment, rigorous truth‑seeking, emotional cleansing, and networking to align with higher, service‑to‑others forms of consciousness so that we are not swept along by fear, deception, and authoritarian control. By recognizing the predatory patterns within ourselves and also in our contemporary socio-political and cultural contexts, and by gaining knowledge & engaging in disciplined inner work, we can (hopefully) see through the illusion and navigate these troubled times.
A huge thanks to @placematt for editing and putting these slides together with the audio, and to @987baz for creating the music!
