Yesterday we discovered a super trick to be able to smoke menthols:

- You take your natural tobacco, roll it in natural paper (whichever brands you usually use. Homegrown it's even better if you can).
- Then you get a bottle of peppermint essential oil.
- You just touch the top of the dropper with you finger, and then rub the oil on the cigarette.

That's it!

You can also touch the tobacco with your fingers as your roll it.

It's great! You feel like you are smoking mint candy:-) And you need less than one drop of oil.

I can't be sure, but I feel that it helps with digestion too. Hopefully that means that we've discovered another way to take essential oils. ;)

We are getting ready to trying it with other oils. Like cloves... :D :cool2:

Okay, sounds like a really good idea. And keep them coming. :cool2:

What I have done and do sometimes, I use the dried peppermint leaves (homegrown), crumble them and roll them with my roll-your-own-tobacco.

One idea comes up, if lemongrass essential oil works too, just for the matter of taste?!

You can also do the same thing with a pipe too by adding just a drop to the bowl once it's packed. For a mild flavor, you can even try adding some crushed peppermint leaf to your tobacco mix.

Great tip! :cool2:

I have some peppermint and sage. I'm gonna try a mix with my tabaccy too. :cool2:

Mmm, very tasty and smooth.

On smoking peppermint: http://www.organicfacts.net/health-benefits/other/health-benefits-of-smoking.html
Peppermint: Peppermint improves blood circulation and relaxes the nerves. It is a strong purifying agent that can restore and rejuvenate both mind and body. Fabled for its healing properties, peppermint can also ensure easy breathing by clearing the lungs and respiratory passages.

Excellent! That means we were all onto something.

Good idea mixing tobacco leaves in a cigarette.

I also found this about cloves and smoking: _http://www.organicfacts.net/organic-oils/natural-essential-oils/health-benefits-of-clove-oil.html

The health benefits of clove oil can be attributed to its antimicrobial, antifungal, antiseptic, antiviral, aphrodisiac and stimulating properties. The oil is used for treating a variety of health disorders including toothaches, indigestion, cough, asthma, headache, stress and blood impurities.

Clove Cigarettes: Usage of clove in making cigarettes is a new trend all over the world. Traditionally, clove was added in cigarettes in Indonesia. Smokers (wrongly) feel that the numerous health benefits of clove would nullify the ill effects of smoking [No explanation of why this assumption is wrong]. Flavoring Agent: Along with its digestive properties, clove oil is added in food items due to its flavor. It is added in many Indian dishes, pickles, sauce, spice cakes, etc.

Origin of Clove Cigarettes

Kretek was invented in Java in the 1880’s for treating the lungs or more precisely to cure asthma. As it found to cure chest pains the inventor transported the discovery down to his village. Unfortunately the clove cigarettes could not be marketed out for the mass. Later kreteks were commercialized and sold as a new form of cigarettes. Indonesia seems to employ about 1, 80,000 people directly and about 10 million people indirectly for manufacturing clove cigarettes.

And then it goes on an on about how smoking is bad, and how clove cigarettes are worse than the normal ones. They are talking about commercial clove cigarettes, though.

I was searching in Google, and there seems to be a huge anti clove-smoking campaign, so that tells me they may well be very good for us ;).

Dude! I should try that! Seems very tasty. :D

They are talking about commercial clove cigarettes, though.

IMO, commercial cigarettes aren't even cigarettes. They took tobacco and made it evil,

so they can then tell us that smoking is bad because they screwed it up!

Aromatherapy cigarettes!? This is such a great idea! I love essential oils and can't wait to try various ones; especially lemon grass, peppermint, maybe some orange...lavender might be weird, but I'll try it anyway :P. Thanks for this. We all have been eliminating so many bad life choices, and enhancing one of the few luxuries left is truly inspired and inspiring. Being rationally healthy does not have to be torture with a little ingenuity!

Edit: I also just checked to see which oils are beneficial to respiration to balance out any negative effects on the lungs from smoking (my lungs are pretty touchy), and I saw that besides peppermint, lavender and rosemary address congestion, and for the prevention of respiratory problems, peppermint, thyme, lemon, and rosemary are good. There were plenty more, but these seemed like potentially tastier options.

I also want to add that if any of you have problems with tobacco drying out, bury a small piece of citrus fruit peel in your pack or can; it will moisten it wonderfully. It works so well, you may want to remove it from your pack after it's moistened enough. It smells pretty nice, too.

I tried two self-made glove-cigarettes. :cool2:

Here's a link for a how to do:

But for my taste it's too sweet.

Sounds like a good idea. I used apple or bread in the past.
