I noticed that sometimes I can control this feeling in the middle of my forehead that feels like a energy vortex in the middle of my forehead. it triggeres whenever i learn new info and is followed with tingling sensation in the lower and top right side of my head. ANybody else have this feeling. my dreams are more vivid than ever now. I watching the movie insidious (which is odd because im scary)... and it resonated with me and the vivid dreams I was having. I keep dreaming about dogs. this last dream I had these 2 dogs were loose and viciously attacked 2 people over my aunts house? one was a teenage boy and the other i did not see because he was so badly dismemebered?!?!? hmmm feel like i'm ranting .. but id love to hear you guys opinion... oh and i keep seeing things more than ever now out of the side of my eye... :/

Hey Liv,

Since starting EE, the majority of my meditation sessions the place on my forehead (3rd eye) starts to hurt and sting. My dreams have been nuts as of lately too. More vivid, more things happening and i can remember them which i haven't been able to do for years!

My forehead also starts to tingle and hurt when i start learning too!! Maybe this isn't anything but I am definitely experiencing similar things :)

Hello,

I too have this feeling like tingling in the middle of the forehead and are having very vivid dreams but have no idea what it means. The tingling comes and goes, no apparent connection with anything I may be doing at the time.

Hello:
this is happening to me too, only when I'm doing my praying of the soul meditation, it is a funny feeling like a pressure on my forehead, but then i fall asleep.
also i can recall my dreams which by the way are very vivid...

Since starting the EE program fully, my dreams too have become alot more visually intense and memorable.
I am also able to get straight out of bed in the morning with no memory of the dream, only the feeling i have had one, and it slowly starts coming back to me when i put my mind to it. Making notes when you have just got up also allows the memories to flow back to you easier if you have some parts of the dream missing.
Guessing the dream vividity has something to do with an activation of consciousness and awareness within the dream, but i havnt looked into this at all. Hopefully a more knowledgeable member could expand on the dream part :).

Interesting. During EE and meditation I do certainly notice a different flavor of energy in some parts of my body, especially if I've been neglecting those things (eg dissociation tends to shut down those feelings in my gut and lower body.)

LIV, a caution I feel I need to offer you is that we are meant to function with all our centers working strongly. If manipulating and fiddling with the energy of your brow is starting to give you nightmares (on top of your watching horror while being easily scared), I'd recommend you start to focus on the other energy centers in your body like the solar plexus and heart.

How's your diet, btw? Do you practice eiriu eolas or other breathing oriented exercises to aid mediation and relax? All of these things are essential for heal the mind-body connection the heart and solar plexus rely on. I bring these up just because don't want you to turn into the "foolish rice seed" which grew vertically too quickly without growing horizontally, causing it to topple over. :P

Does anyone experience headaches in this particular area? I've been having frequent headaches in the middle of my forehead, and it certainly isn't linked to anything I'm eating! Cutting the caffeine out completely for a few weeks to see if that makes a difference, but usually my headaches turn into migraines and then throwing up, this happens at certain parts of the year (especially in the pass 6 months as I have been practicing EE twice a week)

I've had this sensation for almost 50 years now, since my first attempt at meditation practice learned from a book which involved concentration on the third eye. I always hoped that it was a sign of some great transformation but so far no luck with that

In my years of training in the yogi tradition I learned to focus there while meditating and I still do while practicing EE. For me it is the center of the bliss and joy of true existence, of being in tune with my soul. That bliss has become like an old friend, available at any moment. Sometimes I'll be walking down the street and suddenly find myself "in the spirit", my third eye buzzing and joy spreading throughout my body.

Too bad my spiritual training didn't include all the psychological work that I've learned about here, but I guess while you're still in the body it's never too late.

it feels good to know i'm not alone in this feeling... but i rarely meditate... i'm actually scared to because the few times i've tried, my mind got the best of me and it felt like i was seeing things and feeling people watching me lol. so i only do it if im really really compelled to.

My diet is a lot better since i removed my gallbladder. I've been feening for cumcumbers so I eat a lot of those. I've been trying to really reduce my red meat intake and only eat chicken and fish with lots of vegetables and fruits. I don't eat sides like rice, potatoes, etc. just meat and vegetables.

i've just began to experience this feeling last year but now i can actually control it and bring the feeling on by simply willing it too. the only difference i've noticed is that my dreams feel real and i can remember details of those dreams. I was watching mission to mars th other night and it triggered that feeling than i became super emotional watching 2012. i was like literally balling.

i havent had any headaches in a while i dont think, i just notice i'm super forgetful now. may be old age lol.

There are many types of meditation, which can have different effects. The type offered in the EE program is a meditation with seed (prayer of the soul), so it occupies your mind and thoughts instead of leaving an empty void, where a lot of unusual things can manifest. Laura even mentioned once that meditation without seed or on emptiness can sometimes result in acquiring spirit attachments unless you're sufficiently grounded. The breathing parts of the EE program help create a visceral sense of groundedness so you're less likely to have your mind swept away.

Sorry to hear you had your gallbladder removed. I personally wouldn't decrease red meat, since it is packed with minerals, vitamins, proteins, as well as essential saturated fats (you can take ox bile supplements to help you process the excessive fat). Fruits on the other hand, I would avoid because they contain fructose, which increases insulin resistance and weight gain. The forum has experimented a lot with diet and has found the paleo-ketogenic diet to be the most healthy and beneficial. A ketogenic diet is very low in carbohydrates, moderate in protein, and high in animal fats, while excluding sugar, sweet fruits, artificial sweeteners, dairy, grains, lentils, and most starchy veggies.

For more information I'd recommend you check out the Ketogenic Diet Thread, which is long but shares a lot of valuable information. Some members lack gall bladders as well, and they manage to the keto diet relatively easily while they take ox bile supplements and pace their fat intake throughout the day. Hope you find this information useful. :)

One more thing I have noticed is that I have been " seeing " movements out of the corner of my eyes, not all the time, but often. Sometimes I think is something like a house cat but there is nothing visible when I turn and look.

For some time I have had the feeling of being touched or a pressure in the center of my forehead at various times, which I guess is in the area of the third eye. When I'm in intense thought about something, especially when I'm making connections or reading and thinking about Cassiopaea related material is a time I've noticed it happening. Also for about a year I have had the feeling almost every night when I'm going to sleep and it is especially intense when I do the prayer of the soul meditation before going to sleep.

Another thing to note that may or may not be related is I've seen sparks of light at various times with my eyes open and closed, but have noticed them the most when I have had my eyes closed before sleep.

This exact same thing happened to me not too long ago. It looks like little electricity sparks all around. I even closed my eyes, opened them, moved my head around and they were still there all over the place.

Very interesting stuff indeed!!

I can't seem to discipline myself enough to do the ee program or the diet :(
lately i've been going through what seems a long string of unfortunate events and my memory is starting to get really really bad. I repeat things and forget things 5 seconds after I said it?!?! my intentions are good but just cant find the motivation to do anything that requires concentration. i feel so overwhelmed. maybe it the retrograde or something.

That's an important start! You now know what your limitations are. The next step is to work around them. Changing habits requires focus and willpower, both of which require dopamine. Since we only produce a certain amount of dopamine a day, it's better to change gradually, in small ways. If we take on too large a challenge we fail miserably and use that as an excuse to not work on the tiny things we CAN accomplish. Eventually small changes add up to big changes and we surprise ourselves at how far we have come. Like Gurdjieff said, "He who goes slow goes far." :)

You said you eat meat, vegetables, and some fruit. That's basically paleo, which definitely takes discipline to do (after all dairy, gluten, and sugar are highly addictive drugs). Going from that to keto is just a matter of cutting out fruit, avoiding the starchier veggies, and incorporating more animal fats in the form of tallow, eggs, ghee, or butter (which some people can tolerate once their digestive system recovers from candida and leichtins/gluten/milk). People new to keto often need to pace their transition, slowly reducing their carb intake. So don't get discouraged if you go whole-hog and fall on your face. It took me a couple of tries before settling into keto diet and state, as I changed my buying/cooking habits and my body's mitochondria adapted to process ketones.

Developing the discipline to do EE is similar. Just start out by belly-breathing or pipe-breathing whenever you remember to do it and feel like you need to relax more: while at work, while driving or busing, while at home surfing the web... etc. Eventually, after the slow progress of trying to do it, your body will learn that belly-breathing and pipe-breathing help it out a lot. Once it learns this, you will naturally adopt pipe-breathing subconsciously when you feel stressed out. Having the prayer of the soul on when you're about to go to sleep, or while you're just going about your day, also confers benefits... even when you're not paying conscious attention to it, since it also works on a subconscious level. Even if you belly-breathe for just 3 minutes throughout an entire week, that's still better than doing it for zero minutes that week. Even if you start the full program, get distracted and do something else - that is still better than not doing the program for fear of not following through.

The conditions in which we work, our efforts in doing so, and ours results from said efforts will never be perfect. And that's okay. Doing the best you can is good enough. :)

Is the long string of unfortunate events anything you'd be comfortable sharing? I'm sure others here could chime in and offer advice and ways to deal with some situations. For what it's worth, often difficult situations surface when we are just in the middle of making changes to our lifestyle and working on ourselves... that's the nature of the matrix, it seems. It can also signify that certain karmic juices are flowing, spurred from your decision to start working on yourself. Paying attention to these challenges, what they can teach you about yourself, and how you grow by addressing these challenges productively, will be invaluable.

As for short-term memory problems, perhaps supplementing with omega 3's and cutting out things that can harm short term memory like vapid web-browsing, smoking weed (if you do), as well as multitasking. I can't say I'm an expert on that specific subject though. :-[ Maybe someone else can chime in on that note.
