5th of November - V For Vendetta Day!

Hi all,

Guy Fawkes night couldn't come at a more interesting time this year: the day after the Nov 4 puppet show in the US.

Regardless of the result, I'll be having a beer with a friend and I will toast to friendship, truth, Laura, SOTT, C's.
Mind you, each toast will be with a sip and not a whole beer each time.

I will be thinking of some of you on that night.

Yes indeed the evening of "the gunpowder plot"... a great moment for a new president to go into the white house. Weird and funny coincidence.

Just for clarity's sake, the new president doesn't 'go into the white house' until January 20th, 2009 - at least assuming all goes as usual.

Yep, he's projected to win the swing states, Indiana, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Ohio. Just watched McCain give his speech about not winning. He looked pretty content. How long will the honeymoon last???
