Made me wonder what happened last year 6 June 2013 (666). There was a big headline with Prism and NSA etc. _http://www.forbes.com/sites/jodywestby/2013/06/08/june-6-2013-the-day-america-found-big-brother-in-big-data

I'd say some themselves believe or want others to believe dates hold significance, so orchestrate destructive events around them in a ritualistic way, but yeah I agree dates falling on "magic" numbers aren't endowed with any innate special power other than what we attribute to them. Because some twisted people appear to want put more meaning on certain dates, there's a good chance something's planned 7 July to be brought to the world's attention. But don't know for sure, and maybe a 777 isn't supposed to be ritualistically significant (like 6 or 11 and such), so I guess wait and see.

I don't think there could be a link. What about the hour in that specific day of 07/07/2014? This is why this kind of numbers are exciting, we tend to find a meaning without taking in consideration other things, like a specific hour for example. Next year it will be 8/8/2015. And afterwards 9/9/2016.
And so on. 2014 Is not necesarily 2+0+1+4 maybe it's 20+14 or 2+14. Earth changes are more symbolically than an invented calendar of the illusionary time.

Mathematically the most interesting number I find it to be 9. Because the result of multiplying 9 with any number is the sum of 9: example: 9x3=27(2+7=9), 9x7=63(6+3=9), 9x35=315(3+1+5=9), 9x9999=89991(8+9+9+9+1=36;3+6=9)and so on.
