9/11/06: The Presidental Address (the pitch for Iraqi policy support)

Well, I would have thought that today would have been a somber
day and in rememberance for those who have innocently persished
on 9/11/2001. It should be a day of mourning free from politics, but
alas, no it isn't.

Intead, we get a blasted by a political pitch from this arrogant president
who for some strange reason believes he has to make his political case
today to the voters the of US regarding his Iraq policy. It seems to me
that he is taking advantage of this special day to rekindle the raw emotions,
to stroke our anger, and hopefully strengthen the resolve and rallying call
against these dastardly terrorist who commited these atrocious acts on US
soil! Never mind that none of these terrorist launched their acts against US
starting from Iraqi soil.

We now see the mind of a psyhcopath right before us, unflinching,
stern-faced, and straight ahead at all costs. The pied piper is blowing
his flute and now the question remains: will the mice follow?

I watched the boob on the tube. He sat there emotionless, straight-faced for the most part, and read off the teleprompter like a robot. Same crud, different day. Nothing but an opportunity taken.

The only consolation I can think of at the moment is that he stumbled on trying to pronounce the word "intelligence." No surprise there, seeing how he has none. Dumbass. Sometimes I feel sorry for him.
