a dream about a 'god' and some 'cloud' reflections

Hello all,

Some things I'd like to share;

Last night before I went to sleep I picked up my copy of Secret History of the World in order to read a couple of pages. As I was about to start reading, I caught sight of a blue 'glitter' before me- just a short sparkle. I have to admit that I've seen this a few times before- sometimes when I'm able to connect the dots in my mind and come to a conclusion about something whilst reading here on the forum or after meditating, this blue sparkle appears.

After reading, I did my usual round of EE and went to sleep. These days I have been sleeping without a pillow so I can practice lying straight. At some point I was almost asleep, but as it was noisy outside I kept on waking up. I started reciting the Prayer of the Soul so I could focus myself on that instead, but as I felt myself slip towards sleep, I was suddenly awoken by a loud voice saying 'I don't like gaikokugo!'

((this I have to explain; it was actually said in Dutch, but the last word is Japanese for 'foreign language/s' - my schoolmates and I sometimes use some Japanese words in our sentences as we study it))

- it sounded exactly like one of my friends, but the voice seemed to come from inside my 'mind', I don't really know how to explain it otherwise. It was loud as if I was in an actual conversation with him in my room at that moment, but I had not been thinking about him and the 'voice' had broken my concentration on the prayer, interrupting.

Afterwards I once more tried to fall asleep. I have been taking melatonine every other day (to save some expenses) but I hadn't taken it this night. I have been experiencing rather vivid dreams lately whenever I do take melatonine though, but the dream I had last night was something 'new' for me in terms of how realistic it felt;

In my dream I ran up to a white villa - I was late and my friend (the same one whose voice I heard!) was waiting for me there. We went inside the house and opened the glass garden door so we could have a look at the skies. It was starting to become evening and as we were looking up, I noticed a big formation of clouds. I pointed at it and said 'hey, the clouds look like a knight!' - they were shaped like a tall figure with a helmet, a sword and a shield and seemed to become bigger as it approached us. My friend says 'yeah, you're right!' and as we were looking at the clouds, the image morphed and the knight was suddenly on a horse - we both said 'hey, a horse!'

But then the clouds 'halted' very close in the skies above/in front of us and changed into a large man's face and body. I felt happy in my dream for some reason and started waving at it, saying 'hello!' cheerfully. In my dream I was thinking that it had to be some kind of 'god' or apparition from another realm and sure enough it began talking to us;

"Happy New Year!" the 'god' said, in a low and rumbling voice which sounded quite friendly. I turned to my friend and said 'It's the Mayan new year," and he nodded.

After that, the 'god' disappeared and a lot of things started happening - I can't recollect them properly now, but I remember that the town was being attacked by dog-like creatures and we were closing up all the doors and windows in order to keep them out. I also remember some of my friends painting the white walls of the house with blue paint, to which I objected and they responded 'but we will paint them white again'.

This part about the 'god' in my dream was really vivid. I remember thinking in the dream 'this feels real'. However, I cannot help but connect this to reflections I was having earlier that day;

Last summer I used to stare up at clouds a lot and often tried to follow the airstreams and the shadows with my eyes. I found this very calming to do, back then it was a sort of 'meditation' for me, but I've had two occasions on which I 'saw' something in the clouds. As I was looking at all the different shadows and started to blur my vision a little, focusing and unfocusing, a series of 'images' appeared, like 2D images projected in the airstreams of the clouds - I saw images of different 'icons' (Maya, Inca, Egyptian), geometric shapes, I saw ships, weapons, lion heads and snakes- even after reflecting I cannot recall all the things I saw and I cannot seem to find a way to put it into words properly; it was like flipping through 'random' pictures as they all followed each other faster than I could 'think'. Maybe I dreamed about seeing a 'god' in the clouds because I reflected upon this before?

One thing I did find out (if I am to trust my googling) is that the Mayan new year celebration is in July. I didn't know this before, but it seems that in my dream I was able to make that connection.

Would you mind describing these dog-like creatures for me because i have also had vivid dreams which featured such creatures.

This has also happened to me on a number of occasions and i was definitely awake, it was around 3-5 in the afternoon and when i looked up there were clouds in the shape of ancient armies, they kept morphing as in they were from different cultures. It was wild.

p.s. the sense i have gotten on the subsequent occasions that this has happened is that they are the thoughts of the earth.

I call them dog-like because I can't remember exactly what they looked like - they were definitely of the dog/wolf kind, dark brown fur, but not necessarily big - reflecting back, perhaps they were more like coyotes? However, as I said - I can't remember exactly.

I'm not so sure about this being the 'thoughts of the earth', that phrase is too vague for me. How did you 'get this sense'?

I know in my case that I was definitely awake too, as I stared at the sky as a daily routine and never once dozed off, but only saw these kind of images twice after concentrating for a long time. I understand what you mean by the images being from different cultures - in my case too all sorts of icons appeared from various cultures.

I definitely have to look up some more cases like these in order to formulate what was really going on back then. I had only just started reading the Cass material then and hadn't adapted my diet yet - there's a lot of things to keep in mind before I'll be able to make a conclusion about this...

edit: grammar...

It just came to me really, like wind i guess.

hmm, how to explain it. I guess a better description would be memories of the earth. :/ I know not very clear description, but it's the best i've got right know, i will think on it some more so as to come to a much clearer explanation.

p.s. thanks for getting me to look at it with a more analytic framework. Until then :)
