A kind neighbor

Wanted to share some good stuff with you all.

My husband had surgery about a month ago on a 12 year old injury on his right elbow. This is good news in of itself because he was told that he would have to live with the injury and the pain that went with it for the rest of his life. With the help of the state we live in and a wonderful doctor, he has had the injury fixed to the best it can be for now. So, he has been in a brace and can not do the basic chores around the house. I have filled in for the most part except for mowing the lawn. It is a very difficult task for me. The side of our house had not been mowed for over two months. The front I have managed with great payment for I am down for 2 days afterwards. But it needs to be done.

So 2 weeks ago I was walking the dogs and lo and behold the grass on the side of the house was mowed. There was no acknowledgement as to who had done this, so I put up a big thank you sign. And there was even an anonymous you are welcome scribbled on the sign a few days later. Well again this morning I walked the dogs and again the grass was mowed. Have no idea who is doing this for us. Has to be a neighbor who must have seen that my husband was wearing this brace. It has been a big pick me up for us. That someone kind enough to this for us. Wonders never cease.

Wanted to share a positive deed here. There has been so much stuff happening in our world these days and it is wonderful to see a good deed done. Will be definitely paying it forward.

Very nice to hear about something so positive - someone just seeing what needs to be done and doing it with no fanfare.

Thanks for sharing!

So true. I am also glad you posted it, Bluestar. With everything going on in the world, it's a glimmer of hope.

That's really good to read, Bluestar, especially in these difficult times. I remeber reading somwhere that the Native Americans believed that a person should do one good deed per day, but that no-one should know who did it.

This fits in well with the Christian sense of giving - to not let the left hand know what the right hand is doing, or something to that effect. Simply wonderful and inspiring.
