"We're not all Mohamed Merah! You are manipulated!" A gunman has caused panic, Friday, April 13 around 9 am, on the Paris metro line 13. The train was between the stations Saint-Denis Université and Basilique Saint-Denis when a passenger pulled out a Colt 45 by threatening other passengers, said Le Parisien. According to preliminary investigation, the weapon was not loaded, but the man had two magazines filled on him, which contained six and ten cartridges. [note : the first reports also said that he had 2000€ in cash on him]

"The alarm was pulled and the train stopped in the tunnel," said the newspaper. "The driver got out of his cabin, and rose from inside the train to come and open the doors of the caboose, where was the gunman, and allow passengers to take refuge in other cars." No one was injured.

The man, who does not enjoy all his mental faculties, according to the prefecture, has managed to open the outer doors of the car. "He then fled on foot into the tunnel, along the tracks, before taking refuge in a niche," said the daily. "This is where the police of the LAC (anti-crime brigade) of Saint-Denis have arrested a few minutes later." The anti-terrorist section of the Crime Branch has received the survey.

Hmmmmm, and how our friend Sarkozy reacted? Did he brought all the military and police to take him? Did he stopped the circulation of all France? Did he spoke to the medias? So the man was mental fragile but not dangerous at all? Very strange!

Well, the politics didn't react on this, and the media coverage was minimal, despise the fact that it was a serious hostage situation. Most of my friends didn't heard about this story until I told them. Strange indeed. I don't understand how a man "who does not enjoy all his mental faculties" has managed to find a .45 gun in France, just like the Toulouse case. This caliber is very rare and isn't used by the police or the military. Not to mention the 2000€ in cash...

It's very common here in usa. I joke about taking down low flying airplanes. Then again, the world thinks usa as the Wild Wild West, yes? 'Tis our right to defend against an irrational gubemint...

Guns do not kill. People Kill. Protecting the one's you love is not killing but necessity.

'Tis idiots like that the the news takes hold of and make guns bad. People are bad, not inanimate objects. People choose, not iron. Then again, lessen the resistance for control is the purpose.

This story reminds me a sequence of a film. I am sure it is a montage, something prepared in advance to provoke fear to people.
