A new/old way to make vaccines.

Hello.

I was sick with some respiratory infection over the last several days. I am still sick, but after the fever went up, my mind became more imaginative and it came with the following idea. In order to confirm if it is valid or not in ordinary ways, many years of double-blind medical experiments are need to be taken. And who is going to do that? That is why, I posted it as a question to Cs and not in the health-related forum. Crazy or not, the idea is not new and it may have worked for millenium for peoples benefits...

I made a batch of sauerkraut. I love fermented foods. All of them. And being of Russian culture, I was exposed to quite a few and would try any new one with no hesitation. While I was making it, I realized that the germs that I carry are going to be thoroughly spread through the cabbage/carrots/salt mix. As it is well known, the lactobacillus bacteria will kill all the other bacteria (and, probably, viruses ?) all in a few short days. It always does. In the process of killing, when it encounters these pesky flu viruses, they are being trained to dispatch with them in a proper and most efficient way. But, this is how the injectable vaccines are created! Only, the pharmacists put the "weakened" virus inside the live eggs.

So, my question is; Would it be a good way to treat myself (and the people around me who I can potentially infect) with this "inoculated" home-made sauerkraut to prevent or lessen the effect of the infection? I would like to know the answer in general, of course.
