Hello everyone,
I thought I would share my latest creation with you all.
Before anyone gets the idea that this song is ALL about me, I think I'd better explain the idea behind it.
I was thinking about what it's like when we meet someone new and start dating, how everything seems so wonderful at first, and then one day our true natures start to show. Also, the uncanny ability we have to choose the same type of person every time, even if they are not showing (overtly) any outward signs of having those familiar character traits. Obviously, we need to learn discernment to avoid these pitfalls.
I then thought about those conversations we have with our new acquaintances where we talk for hours "getting to know one another" - a rather selective process at best - and the type of information we get out of it. We think, "Gosh, we have so much in common! We both like reading books, taking long walks, watching suspense films - we even both play tennis. We're perfect for each other!" Yeah. Right.
The thing is, Charles Manson reads a lot of books, and I heard that Hitler had a really wicked backhand.
So, if people want to offer the kind of information that can actually be useful to their new friend, the conversation might sound a little more like this:
