After reading Windmill Knight's post here, I decided to post a curious dream I had in (if file date is trusted) September of 2010. It's seemed to me a bit silly, so I didn't post it before, but might as well get it done.
I can only say I agree.
The September, 2010 dream:
Following earlier dreaming (no details) that night about pathological people and their actions and agendas came this.
In the dream, I came into contact (details not remembered, apart from being introduced via another person I'd met) with an elder or "leader" of a group. I became involved with them as they successfully worked to escape - without harm - a series of armed confrontations with the powers that be.
So at first, there was little opportunity to talk in depth, mostly action. Part of this action was a training - people were working to develop psychokinetic abilities, implicitly to be of practical use for defending themselves - and so I was invited to join in; I didn't accomplish much on that first try, though that wasn't very unexpected.
Later on, during one escape, the elder had flown away, and I had followed. He seemed tired and rested for a bit, and this became an opportunity to talk.
The talk came to a mention of transformation, and an alchemical formula was given, and I guessed rightly that one ingredient was the inner fire. I mentioned that what I knew I'd learned from another group, and upon mentioning the Internet, he surprised me by suggesting Cassiopaea, which I confirmed.
He laughed happily and said that, in regards to the Cass group, "only a few adjustments are needed", implying that there was too little focus on action, but that the knowledge was right. He then said: "But you tried [...]", referring to the training - which made him conclude that the differences weren't too great, and finally said that he'd contact the Cass group and see about a possible merger of groups.
So - no idea where that dream came from, or its possible meaning.
