Q: If humans descended from apes, how tall were these apes? How many humans lived on each ape? Did the Apes teach us how to rappel?
A: Actually, "descended" here refers to being related. Monkeys are known to be good climbers, so it should be no surprised that humans, a related species, were skilled enough to climb down the backs of apes. It is well-known that the average human height is increasing by a few inches every century or so. Therefore, if we go back thousands and thousands of years to the time of the first humans, we can assume that they were only a few inches tall. The apes that carried early man were probably average-sized, but with scores of tiny humans carried on their backs.
A:As somewhat of a specialist in the ape-bound migratory patterns of prehistoric tiny humans, I concur. As a footnote here I would like to add that in my field of study it is widely accepted that the modern human love of soft carpeting has evolved from the sense of security our miniature ancestors felt when clinging to the back of a furry primate.
