A really strange scary dream

Josh

The Force is Strong With This One
I had this dream a couple of nights ago, I was in my friends garden( lets call my friend Henry, to make it easier to understand) and the garden was really messy, and I walked through all this mess and saw my friends dad ( who committed suicide about 2 years ago). He was trying to help Henry as he was choking on something. I walked towards them two and Henry's body kept disappearing so it would just be his head sometime, but other times his full body. Henry was choking and his dad put two fingers down his throat and something came out his throat and he threw up loads. Henry's dad then started shouted at me to get something in the messy garden and I then proceeded to find a remote controller, but before I could get back to Henry's dad with the remote controller, the dream finished.

I have had scary dreams in my time, but I really was shocked and confused when I woke up, especially as it included my friends dad who committed suicide a couple of years ago.

Hi Josh,

I find your dream "interesting" because of the symbolism involved. The "garden" usually involve a "growth" - maybe spiritual or personal. If it was messy, you gotta clean it away and pay attention to the growth and you are certainly not "atop of things" in your life. "Choking" usually means something like "blocked" or something being prevented, and "vomit" may mean something that needed to be let go.

It is useful to know that most of our dreams are usually dynamics of our own lives. Exaggerated activities and shocking imagery in dreams will do a great deal to get our attention by our subconscious mind. You said that you felt shocked and confused by this dream. Was there anything that has happened in your life recently that really shocked and/or confused you? Even suppressed your own feelings about such events?

Other questions to think about: what does your friend's dad represent to you? Have you personally talk to him before his death? How do you feel about his suicide? What about your friend, what does he represent? What do you think that "Henry's" dad is trying to say? What does a "remote controller" represent to you (although watching television comes to mind)?

Writing about your dreams, especially as shocking as this, in a journal will certainly help you to learn about yourself and what's happening in you, and how all of it relates to your daily life and/or your interactions with other people.

Hope this helps.

My two cents.

My Granddad did pass away last Sunday and it was a very out of the blue thing and happened so fast.

Thank you so much. It has given me a lot to think about :)
