A short one about books: "The fantastic flying books"

Nice, books as one's souls. :) definitely had a french feel to it from the beginning.. The Red Balloon... not to mention how the beginning seemed like the tornado scene in The Wizard of Oz.... ok, just read the Wiki entry... interesting tribute to the childrens book editor.

The library in this film was someone's house turned into a library... like those books, perhaps gifted by like minded souls, presented rather realistically I thought from a 'village' standpoint, more in nature, outside of the city life.. its stress and misguidance.

Yes, it can be a symbol of a space where silence is possible and where you can have all the wisdom like nature can teach us wisdom. A village of gentle souls.

When I am very tired of the noise of the city I go to a second hand store and I forget about city, people that talk and talk, cars, busses, and in the book store time stand still, there is no time, time becomes something elastic and supple, a very interesting, very friendly. And all the books are murmuring things, and this is a sort of music of colours and shapes in a library of book store or book shelve.
