I came across this on a Turkish local news portal.

The short news description reads in translation:

The event occurred between the neighborhoods of Beykent and Gazikent in Gaziantep, Turkey, the other night (Sep 10, 2016). Diving from the sky, a mysterious object suddenly turned into a fireball at 02:12 am. It is seen on the surveillance footage that the object did not fall on the ground but burst into flames a few meters in the air.

There is still no certain information about the enigmatic object that exploded. And no official explanation has yet been made regarding the mysterious event, which has not caused any casualty but left a question mark in minds.

Although it's also reminded in the news report that a UAV had fallen down at a close area a few weeks ago on August 26, I don't think that this is a similar case. And whether the object really exploded just "a few meters in the air" isn't certain, I think, because it isn't clear how far and high the object actually was.

Also of interest, another report from another local news portal dated September 4, which seems similar in some ways to a sensational event that had taken place in the city of Bingöl last September:

After a series of flashes that occurred in the sky, excitement took hold of the citizens in the Village of Aşağı Kıratlı (Baştırm) in the county of Kozluk, Batman, Turkey.

Looking for stones in the surrounding field in daytimes, villagers said that they came across bright and black stones in the village following the event, which was observed from many other villages and vicinities of Kozluk.

The same as those found in Bingöl

Spreading to a wide area in the Sarıçiçek Village of the city of Bingöl last year, meteorites had created a big sensation for nearly one month. Having found buyers who paid big amounts, the stones had also attracted the attention of many domestic and foreign investigators.

Villagers looking for stones day and night

Explaining that they also found black and bright stones in the Village of Aşağı Kıratlı, one of the villagers, Cafer Ataş, explained, "Last week, we noticed an abnormal flash in the sky. When we heard that it was also observed from the neighboring villages, we thought that it can be a meteoric event. Then, we went to the area where we guessed the object had fallen to. As we were searching the field with flashlights, we noticed shining pieces of black stones. We took the stones that we collected that night to our homes. Early in the following morning, we visited the same field again and noticed that different stones that were spread across a field of nearly 2 decares were the same as those found in Bingöl last year. We want an investigation to be made to know whether the stones we found are also precious."

Surprising lightness of the walnut-sized stones

Reporting that they have never seen such crystal-like black stones before, the villagers said, "These stones shine when they are exposed to light. Also they are lighter compared with normal stones and produce a different smell when they are exposed to fire. We believe they fell from the sky. We request officials to investigate these stones."

No video of the event seems to have surfaced, unfortunately.

Another photo from another news site relating to the same event (local people searching for meteorites):
