a tasty mandarin

Heard this morning on a dutch radio. It was a journalist specialist in the origin of food in our cooking .

He told us that during a visit in China of a factory of canned mandarins, he saw the employees removing the white skin of mandarin with a caustic cleaner for kitchen sink.

This method was very efficient for a tasty aspect of the fruit.

That would certainly be a risk of eating canned fruit. Here we grow them in the back. Fruit from cans? Fruit from factories? No thanks!

Yea, that sounds bad. Speaking of mandarins, even the organic ones have had a bad affect on me, no matter how small the mandarin is, one is enough to make me feel bad. Just too sugary, I suppose.
