I haven;t read this book in a long time. It was first read to my class when I was in the 5th grade by my Teacher Mrs. Barnes, a Great teacher in my book and boy could she swing a paddle. On more than one occasion I was privy to that fact. I read it again on my own in the 1oth grade, I searched it out in the library one day. Anyways back to the the book. The story is about two siblings a girl and a boy who had some old spinsters in their neighborhood they like to visit frequently for snacks and such, one of the reasons was they really like the Ladies being their charm and essence as it were. Well one day the Ladies there three of them invited them on a journey, as I recall the boy was worried about being home for dinner, to which one of the Ladies replied not to worry, we'll be back in time, or something to that effect. So the Journey begins, that I won't relate to you as it would spoil the book of which I've a link to a PDF version of it on the web, it's free or I wouldn't be bothering with it. What can I say, I'm saving up to be Jewish and those little caps cost a lot. I kid of course, if it took a quarter to get around the world I couldn't get out of sight. As Promised the link.
