ABC critical of Scientology

Tonight on the ABC TV channel Australia, a program by reporter Greg McDermott which sounds like it will be an attack on Scientology.
I have no opinion on scientology, have never been interested in them, other than reading a book or two by L Ron Hubbard.

What I am interested in though, is the fact that the ABC media organisation is fundamentally a front propaganda unit for the Catholic Church in Australia.
Almost every major reporter and every regular expert, used or employed by this organisation is of Irish Catholic descent. There opinion is always pro-Catholic church.
So, I see the program on scientology as a Catholic effort to discredit the popularity of scientology in Australia. It seems that it will be a case of the pot calling the kettle black. If any Australians are interested in this sort of topic, it will go to air this evening.

I watched this program and it presented a chilling picture of the practices of the organisation. I am really naive when it comes to religion and its practices. It seems that the urge to punish or make people suffer is something which is common to many religions. Also a lack of compassion is evident among these organised groups. Yet, they do not see it, or they think that cruelty is right. This is the case with Scientology, but also, Mormonism, Christianity in general, and Islam. If the search for spirituality leads to this kind of thinking, it leaves me bewildered. There is such a danger in ideologically organised thought. I can't see how the idea of Noetics could work under these circumstances.

How many of you could live in a telepathic world? Are you confident that this could be possible with all the dark thoughts which are ever in people's minds, even when they claim to be seeking spirituality.

Not only limited to religions. I think this is a nature of predator. People would rather gather easily for destructive/entropic activity, then for creativity.

It was interesting to take a look at Noetics in the context of this thread. When I read your question, many, many thoughts came to mind, but to be succinct, I would say yes, of course. Our worst enemy is our own predator's mind, as I continue to experience.
