A little background first. So I've been suffering from a bone deep fatigue for about 2 months now and all the psychological nastiness that comes with having zero energy. Three nights ago I was lying in bed at 4am in the morning unable to sleep despite my fatigue and was just crying to myself from emotional exhaustion. I fell asleep sometime after that and shot awake at 8am having had the strangest dream!
In this dream two of my friends were talking about this shop (I think it was a shoe shop) that could not be found by ordinary means. Apparently some of our friends had been there but it had more or less appeared to them rather than them finding it. This magical shop immediately reminded me of the 'room of requirement' from Harry Potter and walked out of the room laughing at my friends as they tried helplessly to find it on Google Maps. I then went for a walk outside in the neighborhood where I grew up. I was thinking about and doing nothing of importance just walking along looking at the scenery and then Wham! it felt like I was telepathically bumped into! Somebody who I didn't know sent me a typed email that I could see and read clearly in my mind. I read it out-loud (or in-loud in this case as it was all in my mind) to myself in his voice. In this email he described his adventures back to his 'roots' who happened to be some aboriginal shamans. He described their diet which was Paleolithic, how their diet worked wonders on his health and how the addition of Valerian Root was the key. I shot out of bed at that point to scribbled down the dream knowing that I needed to start taking Valerian Root. I had heard of it before but didn't know what it was good for. I looked it up and discovered that it is great for insomniacs. Turns out I had been sleeping terribly for the 2 months that I had been fatigued-exhausted-depressed. I went to the local Co-op that morning, got some high quality Valerian Root capsules and have been taking it the last three nights. Guess what? I've slept like a King every night since and feel like I'm almost back to my real self! Sleep! Who knew that was vital to your health! Me thinks I have learned a valuable lesson about sleep deprivation and minding my sleep patterns.
This was actually the second time aboriginal shamans have been in my dreams which I find funny because I don't know a lick about them. The other dream where an aboriginal shaman appeared in my dream was about 2 months ago. In this dream I was in a large house where about 20 or 30 of my old family friends were having a social gathering of some sort. At one point one of my friend's dad singed off the tip of his finger doing god-knows-what leaving only a charred black wound where the finger once was. He showed me then proceeded to tell me not to tell anyone and covered it up from everyone. That was one of the stranger parts of the dream that I don't have a clue what it meant. Next, it came to all of our attentions that Homeland Security was come to evacuate us all. There was much panic in the house as I tried to explain that it was not such a great idea to go along with their evacuation plans. Nobody cared for my opinion so I got ready to venture out the backdoor and into the wilderness all by myself. In the midst of all the panic I went downstairs to check in on my friends and noticed that one of them was teetering on the edge of being fully-possessed by a rather wicked demon. His eyes were rolling about, his body was jerking around and it was apparent me me that the demon was moments away from being 100% downloaded. At that point I realized it was a good idea to get the hell out of dodge! On my way back up the stairs to leave an aboriginal shaman appeared, drew a hieroglyph in the air and blew it towards me. This energetic glowing hieroglyph hit me in the chest and I immediately felt a sense of warmth pull over me. I then walked out the backdoor and watched all of my friends go along with Homeland Security as I ventured off alone into the woods.
If I understand correctly the 'blowing of the energetic glowing hieroglyph' is how Reiki attunements are done? I do not remember what the symbol looked like except that it was a hieroglyph and I haven't noticed any sort of energetic powers emanating from my hands since that dream so I wonder what it was all about?
