I've been unemployed for more than a year and my previous job, for 2 years seasonally, was in sugar factory. My mom and dad work there for more than 30 years. Two days ago my ex boss called me to work again (3 month contract for now) and I agreed because there was no alternative really for me due to my finance status. The problem is that my workplace involves shift work which is natural for factories but detrimental to my health. Yesterday I went to my night shift and of course I feel exhausted today due to lack of proper sleep.
The other problem is SUGAR itself. There is this sugar-dust that many workers are inhaling and you can't avoid it often because of nature of given workplace. I'm careful about my diet and aware of negative effects of sugar and now I'm in a such position that I can't quit working and there is this danger to deal with on every day basis almost. There is no protection for workers in this factory. Obviously I have to do something on my own to protect myself. I bought some dust masks and I will not hesitate to use it regularly. I just hope that will help enough. I try to look on the bright side of this situation and that is that I will have money which I will use to donate some part to FOTCM, to buy some food supplements promoted here on Diet and Health section of forum and other things that will help boost my growth of being.
I had to share this with you to ease this stress which system put upon us daily. And one more thing to say is that now I have EE, POTS and Knowledge with me to deal with any situation :D. Don't know where I would be without it. If you have ANY advice about this situation I will gladly hear it. Thank you.
