Oh geez... has anyone seen this one yet? Just released, no doubt in foreign markets to gauge how much to spend on US promo. August launch date in the states. The IMDB synopsis:

Abraham Lincoln, the 16th President of the United States, discovers vampires are planning to take over the United States. He makes it his mission to eliminate them.

I only bring this film up because it is more of Hollywood's fixation upon planting the vampire/zombie meme in the public mind. What's with that? Are these triggers to get more "reality TV" cannibal action on News at 6:00?

The premise of Lincoln discovering vampires with an agenda, as absurd as it sounds, is not beyond possibility. Given the crop of blood sucking ghouls who presently control the country, who knows, it might be historically accurate :scared: IMDB gives it a "not bad" rating of 6.5.

I doubt that I would pay to see this. Just curious.

My husband and I saw it. We really liked it. It made a little history not so boring!! LOL
I went into it not expecting much so that may have made it better. For sure watch it on netflix when it comes out :)
* The story line was not new to me as I've heard some years back about Abe supposedly being a vampire killer LOL

I saw the trailer for the movie and just rolled my eyes and thought.. "the crap they come out with these days...." leaves me speechless and shaking my head.

There is also another recent movie where Abraham Lincoln is disposing of zombies, wasn't very good, action was mediocre at best. Makes you wonder what really are we getting programmed for.

I saw the trailer in the subway (TVs are everywhere) and it made me think of "idiocracy". The dumbing-down of the population is almost complete.

Based on trailers, it looks they made Lincoln blood thrusty, war mongering pathalogical character. It looks current elite deflected all their evil to Lincoln in 3D.

The novel was actually really good. It looked at how the "vampires" had control of the elite, who would then sell masses of slaves to them as food. Is that any different to what is happening with the alien/4D STS phenomena?

Well when you put it that way... maybe it's not all that bad of a story.

But as with most books turned to movies, I'm guessing this movie doesn't do the book justice. It seems very Hollywoodized and made only to attract a certain demographic of people. The movie makers are probably thinking since Twilight and other vampire/wolf stories are a huge money maker right now, let's jump on the bandwagon.
