With the recent SoTT article titled Actor Jon Voight Takes Job as Head of the ADL, I'm beginning to wonder if this is representative of some kind of pathocratic plot addition.

Actors know how to act convincingly. They know how to deliver a script eloquently and with persuasion. Actors already have a loyal following, etc., etc., so it seems as if an extra layer of buffer can be sandwiched between the pathocrats and the Truth Tellers. IOW, the PTB supporters can now swap their immature accusations between 'anti-semitic' and now, anti-"Voight", thereby staying in the "support the pathocrats" game a bit longer, osit.
Or, maybe I'm just imagining things.


And then there's another actor entering the arena of politics:

Meet the newest member of the Council on Foreign Relations: George Clooney.
CFR's vice president Lisa Shields cited the actor's advocacy on the Darfur crisis and the "importance of non-traditional voices" in foreign policy. (Michael Douglas and Warren Beatty are also life members; Angelina Jolie scored a term memberships set aside for junior wonks in 2007.)

I know that actors who enter politics is nothing new. What I am wondering is whether or not the trend is being ramped up.

Voight is certainly adding fuel to the Middle East conflagration fire, wherein the result is that Israel is destroyed. It's pretty tragic all the way round.
