Johnno
The Living Force
I've picked up a couple of versions of these.
One a 1971 reprint of the Treasury of Aesop's Fables by Oliver Goldsmith first printed in the 1700's. I had it when I was a child and it still makes wonderful reading. The tales in a way mirror the culture of England at the time although aspects are timeless. Lovely engravings and olde world English.

The second is by Laura Gibbs by Oxford classics with modern translations and is a bit more scholarly, the fables are more "true to form".
