Hello ... I hope this is an appropriate place to post this message. It is only my second post in any venue so I'm still getting used to the concept.

I was awakened from a dead sleep a couple of nights ago with a most interesting "thought" that was dropped into my mind. I have become quite familiar with the pattern of my own thoughts versus those arising from telepathic communication. It was difficult to distinguish between the two for quite a while but now it is quite clear. This thought was not my own. I could this being spoken: "The currency of the United States is backed by lead."

I had completely awakened when this communication occurred with none of the normal grogginess. I was able to clearly consider what was being expressed for about 15 seconds. For some time I've been researching the state of the US economy and the likely probability that we are facing a complete collapse in the value of the dollar. It is quite obvious once you look at the facts that the only thing giving the US dollar any influence in the world is the fact that oil is denominated in this currency. It would otherwise be a worthless piece of paper. My apologies if this bursts anyone's bubble, but the US deficit and debt is absolutely massive and the country produces next to nothing except weapons of mass destruction. The only reason that oil is sold in US dollars is the militarization that the United States has brought to bear. Iraq had just started selling its oil in Euros when it was attacked in March 2003. Now Iran threatens to do the same thing. Hence, the US dollar is backed by lead.

Now, this _could_ have been my own thinking except for the next thought which was dropped into my mind as soon as I had assimilated the first one. I heard this spoken (internally): "What is alchemy?" I pondered on that for a few minutes. One definition is turning lead into gold. But this is faux-alchemy. A magic trick that one would expect from the dark. Real alchemy is the evolution of the soul.

So, I got out of bed and looked up the price of lead on the internet. It is selling for about 47 cents per pound. That works out to around 3 cents per ounce (3.3 cents per troy ounce). Gold was selling for 633.00 dollars per troy ounce. The ratio is therefore 19,181 to 1 (gold to lead). Hyper-inflation anyone?

Every time I've had these messages jump into my mind it always proves to be meaningful. Hyper-inflation is my own conclusion, but it does make sense. I don't believe in prophecy, believing we create our own destiny. Maybe the message simply means that the false-alchemy (lead = gold) is about to be revealed to one and all. If the true nature of the United States Federal Reserve (an entity that is NOT of the United States, is NOT part of the Federal government, is has NO reserves) were to be revealed to the people a huge awakening would eventually occur. But, not until a whole lot of chaos is experienced.

By the way, the price of lead jumped from 20 cents per pound prior to the Iraq invasion to over 40 cents per pound and never looked back. You'd have doubled your money. I guess bullets are good business for those of such evil intent.

Hi Ninjei,

I think what that voice means is not that the U.S. dollar is backed by the value of lead but that the U.S. dollar is backed by bullets (lead), i.e., the U.S. military. That makes a lot of sense, actually.

So if any countries try to get paid on their U.S. debt, the U.S. can say, "I'll pay this one off to you in lead" (Robert Hunter).

sorry to just pick on one small part of your post and pull it apart but here goes:

I'm not so sure that there would be a 'huge awakening' : there has been hyperinflation (and so hyper-poverty) before. Look at the great depression, or Russia in the 90's, and then there's 3rd world poverty, and war, and so on and on. Yet people slumber blisfully on. it is incredible.

I think for any significant proportion of the population to wake up, would require such a gigantic amount of chaos and pain before anyone so much as bats an eyelid, that it would have to involve the death of so many people as to bring the human race close to extinction! well, maybe that'll happen.

you'd also have doubled your money (more or less) on gold as well. its now up around 340GBP per troy oz

Donald, yeah the point about the 'bullets' sounds about right to me, too. sick as it is.

Another way to interpretate this message is to consider the metaphorical meaning of lead in alchemia, i.e. raw, vulgar material. And indeed, we can say that US dollar is backed on this kind of unreliable entity. 1/ It is a private corporation that owns the coining right (the fed) 2/ this corporation probably doesn't have the gold equivalent for the monetary volume it has created. Finally US dollar is mostly a symbolic entity which value is simply the one we give to it (this reasoning could apply to other things)

Lead and other metal prices are sharply increasing. Many factors could explain this dynamics : growth in transformation industrial sector, limited reserves, limited supply (many careers and mines got closed - especially in "developed" countries - during the metal and raw material crisis), strong speculative capital shifts from shares / real estate to metals (see gold price evolution)

In a way I can certainly relate to what sleepyvinny means that human kind seems almost hopeless in waking up. Just look at our history and the amount of manipulation that we've succumbed to over the many millenia. However, a huge change is upon us and I think the 100th monkey has just awakened. For me it came in late 1987. The years since have been quite an "opening up" and a "letting go" to say the least. Just like the ancient Chinese curse: "May you live in interesting times". Thanks for the welcome by the way! btw, I did double my money with gold. It just took a few years longer than the jump in lead. Clearly something is being repressed in our "free" markets.

Axel_Dunor's post feels absolutely correct to me. The message was about "the metaphorical meaning of lead in alchemia". It is a funny thing when I "hear" these thoughts. They come on many levels and it usually takes a few days for all the underlying meanings to coalesce in my consciousness. These foreign thoughts are always short on words but deep in meaning. Axel_Dunor has nailed the underlying feeling sense of what popped into my mind. It is why I named the topic "Alchemy", but I don't think I have done all that good a job explaining it.

I was wondering if I would be viewed as "someone who hears voices" and all that denotes. I am very pleased at the quality of the responses!

Thanks for your feedbacks Ninjei. This forum - and some other places - is a bit like a babel tower construction community. Workers polish their stones, adjust them, put them in harmony with other workers stone. Sometimes bringing together / sharing / uniting different little stones leads to a higher meaning entity (like in a successful mosaic for example)
