Alternative to Facebook!?

I was just notified of this site; https://mewe.com/ as a viable, non-intrusive alternative to Face book.
I know there was some excitement a few years back on the forum about another Face book alternative but it didn't seem to take off.
Maybe this one will...

I've seen a few alternatives that never seemed to stand a chance at taking off. One I liked the idea of was _www.tsu.co that integrated itself around Facebook and other social media platforms. I don't think I'd really want to switch platforms unless all of my friends from the forum and real life did, as the only reason I use it these days is to share SOTT articles and the occasional pictures with family/friends. :)

If anyone is still considering Mewe in 2020, CEO Mark Weinstein donated $3500 to the democrat party under Mewe.

And under his other occupation as CEO of Sgrouples, he donated $500 straight to Biden and $1000 to "Schiff for Congress".

Campaignmoney.com gets its data publicly from the Federal Election Commission.

This is for the current 2020 election year and there is no donation in sight to any Republican. They tout themselves as bipartisan, but if the company says one thing, but the head of it does another thing that contradicts that makes it seem really suspicious.
