You post up various articles with no commentary, nor any relation to the SOTT news articles or the issues discussed on the Cassiopaea and QFG websites. The flavour of the article you just posted is apocalyptic, with mentions of the coming of Jesus. Are you trying to evangelize?

Who says anyone is dammned? Is there proof you have or could share that would lead you to procastrinate about a fellow member of this forum like you have done to wilecoyote? I would be interested to see/hear it.

As far as my own study of the bible goes, I thought the bible said it was only God himself who could damn anyone or anything, and yet you seem to be suggesting that you have an insight that only God would have in your knowing who is damned and who isn't (unless your sugesting were all damned, and if so, why would God let us incarnate here in the first place if we were all "damned" beings?). This POV is perplexing, could you please explain further so I could understand you better?

There seems to be a lot of new/newish members toting the "Believe this or be damned" line lately or is it just me? If these members had read more fully the material on site, then they may realise this is not way a lot of us believe you should talk to or relate to other people, as it is a rather negative and controlling opinion, especially when being forced onto other without discourse.

Eyes Wide Open, you have accused someone of being dammned, and to my knowledge this would cause hurt in many people you may say it to...so I have to wonder...are you deliberatley trying to hurt people here? Or simply just naive that accusing someone with which you don't have intimate knowledge, of being dammned may be a very hurtful/negative act? Please could you clarify if you have the time.

Um, EWO, please acquaint yourself with the material on the following websites:

The thing is, many of us have a suspicion, some full blown knowledge, that the history of the world and the bible which you quote, is not all it's claimed to be. Don't believe anything i say, do your research, read the aformentioned articles. The question is, are you that firm in your conviction that you are 'saved', that you will not acknowledge, or even resist alternate possibilities or perspectives?

You could get more acquainted with the forum by reading our numerous posts first, instead of posting evangelical/apocalyptic/pro-gun articles (Your actions are similar to those 'church folks' handing out pamphlets, with sincere conviction that 'jesus' is coming; The difference is that you do so via the internet.)

Eyes Wide Open, just to clarify things:

This is not a matter of censorship. Evangelising ( which is what you appear to be doing) is an effort to broadcast a particular idea or viewpoint, however sincerely, with no allowance for question or critical analysis.

That is simply a different activity to what this forum is intended for.

Here, the best way I can describe it is: we are attempting to shoot our 'sacred cows' and to submit everything to critical analysis. This is not easy and certainly gives some (most?) people a hard time. It can be especially difficult to accept for someone who is deepy emotionally invested into a particular belief system, (such as, but certainly not limited to, one of the major religions). Many people may not want a part in this, which is fine, we are not forcing anyone to join in.

My theory is quite simple.
Yes we are going to face damnation and total destruction and fire and brimstone,albeit by our own actions...IF!...
We don't get off our knees,stand on our own 2 feet,instead of kneeling and hoping to be saved by someone else.Wake up ,raise your head instead of bowing it in shame.Learn and understand the real evil we are facing here on earth because it is of human form,all around you.
