The Living Force
An extremely cold winter, or an 'ice age' as it was named by the citizents, in Crimea this year.

Winter in Crimea was extremely cold this year. Heavy snowfalls, snow piles, kilometer-long traffic jams and destructive storms on the South Coast of Crimea.
The situation has shown that local authorities were not prepared for such manifestations of this year’s winter, although long before that weather forecasters predicted unprecedented cold.
Crimea was one of the first regions in Ukraine that sounded the emergency alarm, fearing for the lives of the homeless. For them, in every city of the Crimean opened heating points, where you can stay warm around the clock, getting hot tea, sandwiches and porridge. But even such emergency measures did not protect Crimea from the victims.
The sudden temperature decrease , windsquall, whose speed reached 30-35 meters per second, sleet, snow - all these factors led to the fact that transport of the Crimea was almost completely paralyzed.
In the northern Crimea, on the highway "The Armenian-Simferopol", the drivers spent two days in traffic - Ministry of Emergency Situations and the State Traffic Inspectorate provide them with fuel and food provision night and day, while trying to eliminate the jam. The wind, constantly brought snow from the field mixed with the ground, did not allow this to be done quickly.
Better than any thermometer weather in Crimea can be determined by the sea. And if it is frozen it is means that cold has reached its peak. This time this is precisely what is happened...
The Kerch’s ferry crossing has stopped working.
