Another 6% piece of evidence

A new Zogby poll to be released on Tuesday will reveal that 92% of Americans, spanning every party and democraphic group, believe that the public has the right to view and verify the counting of votes . . . .

When offered a choice between "Citizens have the right to view and obtain information about how election officials count votes" or "Citizens do not have the right to view and obtain information about how elections officials count votes," 92% of those polled agreed with the first statement. Only 6% agreed with the second, while 2% were unsure.

Zogby Polls are created by sampling a small subset from across America, using statistical sampling techniques to estimate the actual opinions of all Americans.

Zogby discovered later, in an amazing statistical coincidence, that all of the 6% respondants were, in fact, Republican Congressmen and several current members of the Cabinet including Donald Rumsfeld and Condoleezza Rice.

Representatives from the Zogby organization are unable to explain how this unusual sample was part of the original poll.

Not sure how accurate such polls are, but it reminds me of the following quote from Political Ponerology

After such a system has lasted several years, one hundred percent of all the cases of essential psychopathy are involved in pathocratic activity...

IMO, Zogby is one of the more accurate pollers around. What struck me about this one is how well it mapped onto the new estimate that 6% of people are psychopaths. Only psychopaths would think people shouldn't know how votes are counted.

Yes, and psychopaths would recognise the pathocratic system due to their special psychological awareness, and 'align' themselves with it ideologically, according to Lobaczewski. In this specific example, of course, they recognise the need to disguise the system from normal people by withholding information from them.
