Another Horrific Attack on Infant

I wasnt sure whether to post this or not but I noticed an article on Sott today (http://www.sott.net/article/306958-California-man-crushes-1-year-old-girl-to-death-with-his-foot-felt-taken-advantage-of-for-being-asked-to-babysit) of a similarly horrific attack on an infant that is absolutely sickening.

In Australia a psycopath has taken his girlfriends newborn infant and put this poor defenceless child into an extremely hot shower that resulted in 40% burns. The tv news went far more in depth than any article I could find and mentioned that it was so severe that skin was falling off. As i said absolutely sickening.

Heres the article: http://www.abc.net.au/news/2015-11-23/baby-in-coma-after-suffering-burns/6962566

Just have to hope that there wasn't a soul yet seated in the newborn.

Seeing all these attacks of pure evil in society brings to mind the blood chilling Greenbaum speech. So much suffering in the world and its only going to get worse

I think I know what you mean (of course you refer to Gurdjieff/the C's), and I hate to make it worse, but I don't think that possibility would apply to make it better in these specific cases.

I might bring up the example of animal cruelty; mammals (perhaps) don't currently have the possibility to grow a soul like a human, but to treat either mammal or human in the ways above (in terms of torture, stomping/burning them to death, or the example in Stout's book) is equally abhorrent.

I recall an example from the C's sessions, where they mentioned that souls may even incarnate with the decision to teach the public this lesson, perhaps to expose cruelty or to try to influence cruel individuals in touch with them not to go down that route (I'm not sure what the reasons might be). So I propose this as a view that might actually bring a more ultimate 'positive' aspect, but only theoretically.

Furthermore what means soul? Conscience, individuation, character, empathy, superego, persona, spark of awareness? Gurdjieff probably refers to the first two, but all of this is closely related and one often builds off the other, and I just wanted to mention that soul seems to be a process and necessitates growth, but even the presence of the divine spark of life calls for us to treat it using our moral view.

I am hoping I do not write too much to sound like 'disagreement.' I am in full agreement with you. Actually, I am realizing this as I write, it may be if there is less soul then there is less permanent sensitivity and so slightly less pain overall. Thank you for pointing the articles out and expressing what are my thoughts as well, that some people must be so programmed, for one reason or the other, perhaps completely under the control of instincts from their reptilian brains, that I often see no chance of improvement.

Now that you've mentioned it I can recall this session and it provides a much better perspective on things, thank you.

I may have erred when I used the term seated and don't worry I didn't take anything you said as disagreeing, it was all appreciated and very helpful in making sense of such heinous acts.
