Another UFO outside my window: I need to start filming these

I was having a cigarette on my balcony and I noticed a red flashing orb slowly moving along the horizon in the distance. It started to slow down, stop, then go back on itself. It then dissappeared. A few seconds after it dissappeared there was a bright flash of white light, exactly above where it had been, high in the sky. Its the early evening.
Earlier today I noticed there seemed to be alot of what looked like chemtrails in the sky. As well as this, a high flying plane was circiling around my house, it continued to do this until I left; it literally flew off as soon as I left.
I'm beginning to become concered with the amount of UFO activity around my house and me.
I need to film these but they always catch me off guard and the video camera on my iPod is no good at night.

Picture of the chemtrails. Sorry for double post. Oh, I've now got a headache and a strange feeling in my head.

Those look like contrails to me. Have you done much research here re: chemtrails?

A while ago, but not very much. I thought what might suggest a chemtrail was it lingering over around 30 minutes. The trails pictured sort of dissolved into a misty cloud.
The reason I thought these might be chemtrails is that there were other aircraft in the skies, and their contrails didn't linger, and just vanished.

I recommend this article by Laura on chemtrails and contrails:

Thank you, Alvaro. I'll give it a read.

Airplanes fly at different altitudes where there are different temperatures which affect how the contrails act.
