Closed circuit television (CCTV) cameras are hardly a new thing; these unblinking watchers and "protectors" of public interest have been a part of our daily lives for over the past 20 years. The only upside to the increased level of monitoring seems to be a similar increase in the amount of art and pop culture pieces that question their viability, a sampling of which I've assembled here. Feel free to add to it if you've got something worth sharing -- Big Brother be damned!
